After paying $80 for overnight parking at Kings Cross, Wilson Parking. We were informed by the parking attendant that we were able to get a parking ticket for $25 from the Hotel. No one at Lido informed us of this. After contacting a foreign receptionist who understood very little English we returned to the Hotel. The Owner was present and...

The person who seems to own this place is a huge jerk and was extremely rude to me and my group. Extremely rude. I strongly advise against staying here. We walked in at about midnight one night and hardly made a sound. He came out of his room and claimed that we weren't staying there, despite us having our room...

Pros: 1) The hotel is at the heart of Kings Cross, within 1 minute walking distance from the Kings Cross Train Station. Hyde park/CBD is within 15 minutes walking distance. Town Hall/Queen Victoria Building is within 30 minutes walking distance. If you use train, you can reach Circular Quay in 10 minutes (Kings Cross to Martin Place by Train, then...

This simple hotel is not a terrible experience. However it is more of a stay-to-sleep place for those who want to experience Sydney on a budget. If you are expecting luxury at the prices you are at the wrong hotel. However, for students and friends this is a great place. You are only a few minutes from some amazing KX...

We booked this hotel for the new year period as everything else was so expensive however it's on par with a hostel! We booked a studio room which happened to be on the 3rd floor but when we pulled the curtain back all we could see was a brick wall approximately 18" away from our window. Being a studio room...

Wow! The price was reasonable and the location is great however the Hotel was horrible. The room had not been cleaned for sometime, there was dust on the tables, the window was broken, the room itself smelt musty and mouldy. there was mould all over the bathroom ceiling and the shower leaked that bad it came out under the door...

Clean and tidy. Staff were nice. Room was quite small and the taps in the shower falling off the wall. Elevator is not in good working condition. Okay hotel but wouldn't stay again. Get what you pay for.

We stayed here because, well, frankly, we had limited other choices. Sydney was pretty much booked out the weekend we were here. After reading some of the reviews on here, I had a moment of regret, but on arrival, we were pleasantly surprised (thank goodness). We stayed in a suite on level 3 for three persons, which included 1 x...

simple and cosy room, bathroom was big, free-wifi was good. it's conveniently near to King Cross Station. no breakfast or in-house cafe, however, there are plenty of food outlets around. Potts Point is a red-light district, but it's definitely safe and the hotel location is not on the main street/area of such activities, hence, it was quiet and not much...

We stayed here for 7 days from 8th till 14th of sept. The room was beyond our expectation. It was clean and the bed was really comfortable. We weren't expecting any housekeeping but we always came back to a clean and tidy room (even our clothes on the bed were folded!). Halal food was nearby. Easy check in and everyone...

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
