A lovely little boutique hotel in the Chinatown area of Sydney. Plenty of restaurants available and close to Paddy's Market. Very clean and spacious. Courteous and helpful staff and a lot of brochures and literature about things to do in the city. Very close to Central train station. Comfy bed and lovely pillows. Very small TV but so much to...

I love this place, it's comfortable, secured and clean. They have almost anything you need for a very affordable rate. I like their iron with a little iron pad. I would love to stay again. Highly recommend.

It's slightly obscure, side door access you have to press the bell for reception to open for you but once in the staff are brilliant. Your right on the edge of Chinatown with lots of Markets and restaurants. 600 yds to Central Station, a 20 min walk to Darling Harbour. The room is large and very 90s boutique spotlessly clean...

This hotel is quirky, unique and such good value for money. I love staying here and have done so about six times already. The location is great - close to Paddy's Markets and an easy walk to Central Station and the light rail (which takes you into Darling Harbour in minutes). Some parts of the room/stay will make you laugh...

I think this place would've been a head turner when it was first decorated - but it's getting shabby and reminds me of someone who's clung to a hairstyle that suited them when 20 but looks a bit odd at 40! I had a really nice stay - great location. Nice and quiet. But I'd have preferred less funk and...

I wasn't happy that we couldn't check in to our room early. After a 17 hour flight I didn't like having to kill time at the airport before heading to the hotel. It must mean something when many taxi drivers didn't know where it was. A couple of the staff were helpful and polite. Our room was different then most...

We were fascinated by the door key/card also controlling the lights. The floor was cement and the lighting was hidden under long desk/table attached to the wall. Good planning since the room is a compact size. Loved the bathroom lol. We enjoyed the location very much. We give 2 thumbs up to Nooraini Ghani and a big thank you for...

We stayed here for two nights and loved the price and location. Easy 5 minute walk from Central station even with two big suitcases. Close to Ultimo, Powerhouse Museum, Chinatown and Paddy's Market. Good sized room with a lovely bathroom and fabulous shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did read a review where they had trouble getting into...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
