Quickly checked in. Friendly helpful staff. Nice well appointed room. Spotlessly clean. French doors with little patio area. Decent swimming pool with bar, very hot outdoor spa. Big breakfast room with excellent choices. Most enjoyable stay. Thank you Team Crowne Plaza.
Overall okay is as good as I can award. Staff we met and interacted with were all great but that’s where the positives finish. Room - good sized room but in need of some TLC, security bar/chain on door broken & whilst bathroom looked okay, shower area silicon and grout needs a complete refurb & the WC needs a thorough clean up under rim, pretty disgusting. Pool area quite large but decking boards, around the spa were lifting at some of the joints and definite trip/accident hazard. Breakfast was good & again staff there were great. Not interested in casino so won’t comment on it. Hotel is a good 30 minute walk into main area of AS and in heat of the day, for us just not doable. Asked about shuttle/hop on, hop off bus mentioned in travel books, not available & told to use taxis. No shuttle to airport for whatever reason & £45 for 15 minute journey to airport seems excessive. Lastly we were told & read that walking about after dark outside was not advised because of crime!! Came here from Ayers Rock resort (torturous 6 hour bus journey) and knowing what I now do, would m t have done it & would have stayed longer @ AR & travelled onwards from there. Lots of improvements could/should be done to make this place better, overall an underwhelming & disappointing stay.…
We have arrived yesterday at the hotel. The room should be ready but it wasn't.We have recieved finally the room ,with a bad smell ,a dated room who needs refreshing and not very clean also.Today we were expecting to rest at noon ,but they didn't clean the room till 14:00 eventhough we asked them to do this before afternoon. The reception said that they are busy and closed the phone. There was a fire in the national park and they couldn't give any information about this.We drived till we found a ranger who send us back... Avoid thus place if you can.
We stayed in this hotel 3 nights as part of District Journeys guided tour of Essential Australia. Nice exterior, spacious lobby that has free iced water. Also vending machine for drinks and snacks. Also books & souvenirs for sale. The hotel is divided into blocks, we were in block 5 ground floor. Very nice pool with bar for food and drinks. You get your towels from reception. Rooms spacious, have bath robes, iron, ironing board, fridge, nice shower with big shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers. Plenty of towels. Breakfast at Tali restaurant nice, you could also go for other meals there. Linked to this hotel is a Casino and chain of bars and restaurants which we really enjoyed variety of cuisines and live music on Friday night.
This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent as part of a package, so not sure of the specific cost. It was on the outskirts of the town which, based on the current unfortunate news stories about disturbances in the town centre, was good. The location of the room was a little confusing as other reviewers had stated but was not a problem. The room was a good size with twin double beds, had good air conditioning and a nice bathroom. The biggest issue was the fact that the room was a good walk away from the centre and the WiFi didn’t extend to the room. This was important to us as looking ahead to review other potential activities later in our trip made this inconvenient. We ate at The Juicy Rump each of our 2 nights and the food was ok, nothing special. We didn’t feel like venturing further afield for dinner due to the aforementioned troubles. There was a fine dining restaurant at the hotel which we did not use, but breakfast was served there and was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful but because of the WiFi and the average food, can only give 4 stars, but would still recommend.…
This hotel was part of a casino. In the day it was full of people just hanging about in the casino and felt quite intimidating. The Juicy Rump ‘s food was ok but we waited over an hour for the food. There was a special cocktail of the day but they had run out of the ingredients so could not serve it. The Tali restaurant was very good and the breakfast was also very good. I would not come here again
My travel agent recommended this resort hotel. I normally like to stay in the centre of town, close to restaurants, shops etc. However, I am so glad I stayed at this resort! Check in: Very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room: in Block 3 on the 2nd floor. Reasonably easy to find the block, but not the room. Multiple ways to get to 2nd floor (steps and lift). Large. All amenities including ensuite, Large Digital TV (with foxtel), Large Queen size bed. Clean. View: Quite reasonable (see photo below). Macdonnell Ranges. Restaurants: Attached to Casino so used the Juicy Rump and Casbah for more reasonably priced food/drinks than Tali. Given $30 food voucher so used this for buffet breakfast at Tali on my first morning. Facilities: Day Spa, Pool (lovely with attached pool bar with reasonably priced drinks you can charge to your room), Guest laundry (two - one was on my floor that I did not use), convention centre (did not use) and casino (which I went into...plenty of places to eat/drink and gamble/bar - in and outside) Overall my favourite hotel of the two I stayed at during my red centre tour (the other was at yulara). It has everything you need. Close to city centre - however it was too hot for me to walk this trip. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will stay here again.…
The hotel complex is situated on the edge of Alice Springs town and all the better for it as the town is quite frankly a dump, full of gangs of Aboriginal people sitting about or roaming in large groups, it all feels very intimidating. Anyway, this is about the hotel, it has several restaurants and a Casino attached, the Casino itself is a sedate place when you compare it to the Vegas casinos, the other side of the casino is the Juicy Rump eatery, its a casual place and the food is ok, there is another restaurant called Tali close by, we had breakfast there which was very good and I was told the evening meals were good although pricier than the Juicy Rump. The rooms at the hotel are set in blocks, we were in block 2, and it does sound quite prison like but the rooms are very good, spacious with two double beds, a good sized TV although I never used it, a reasonable sized bathroom and a balcony which looked into the complex and to the hills beyond. The place appears to be good for families so you get the usual unruly screaming kids and parents who are oblivious to it but you get that anywhere these days. Overall an OK experience for a night or two.…
Nice room with all amenities required Nice pool and lawn area Quiet Good bar and restaurants Close to town maybe 10-15 min walk but no point going into town as it’s absolutely awful Close to Casino with other good restaurants Nice secure parking which is necessary in Alice Springs
This area is very beautiful and the hotel has everything you need. There’s a casino, several places to eat, a group of swimming pools, laundry facilities and large well equipped workout gym but the best feature is their very friendly staff who are very attentive. The chef, Owen, in the restaurant is so nice and makes excellent food.
