The amenities in this place are very clean and accessable. The rooms are comfortable we had a group large enough to just have us in the room, but the rooms have lockers available and little fridges. We were always able to use amenities without having to wait and at night we slept well. People would talk but everyone was respectful of the time. We had a car and it was easy to get in and out occasionally having to talk with others to sort out car movement always seemed to work out. The after hours policy for checking worked well and we called and the lady was very happy and professional to help out. Payment was easy. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. We always felt we and our things was safe as well.

Stopped for few days in this charming little hostel. Even though they’ve cut office hours, self check in was very efficient and simple and the owner was available on the phone and arrived within few minutes when I had more enquiries. Good air-con, clean rooms and yard lovely decorated with lights and garden ornaments. Lots of friendly people to talk to and cool pool to jump into when temperatures hit 40 degrees. Glad I’ve found this hostel, will definitely come back next year.

I stayed there for 4 nights with a 3 day tour in between. I was greeted by very friendly staff who offered to let me borrow a fly net for my Uluru tour which was an absolute lifesaver. The 6 bed mixed dorm was simple and had everything that you needed. Comfy beds and clean sheets were perfect. The water from the taps is quite warm, but the rooms have a mini fridge to cool it down. The kitchen had everything that you would need to cook good meals and the toilets/showers were great. I very much enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks they have there. The atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet, but there were plenty of social places where you could chat to other backpackers too. Overall very friendly staff, great vibe and all for a good price. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I am cycling the Stuart Highway and had to stay the night in Alice due to heavy rain and I was soaked and exhausted. I called and Sophia quickly booked me the last single room. When I arrived she interrupted her lunch and made me feel very welcome. Then an amazing thing happened. I mentioned I had lost my thermal top and as a result was really cold. Sophia said, “Hang on,” and went to her living quarters and gave me one of hers! It was an Underarmour top and she refused tp take any payment for it. What incredible customer service. Thank you so much Sophia and Alice Lodge Backpackers, you deserve a medal.

The place is a good backpackers place. Clean rooms and bathroom. Free breakfast in the morning. It has a decent pool, which we didn't use. All in all nothing bad about the place, but it doesn't have anything that makes it outstanding.

Things I did enjoy - the price, the open shared space, chilled atmosphere, free breakfast, plenty of power outlets, the staff were pleasant enough, free luggage storage whilst away to Uluru, etc and I met a few cool people whilst staying here. Things I didn’t enjoy - the weird reception hours, only one working cooker in the kitchen, loud screaming infants (why take a baby to a hostel?!), the creaky beds and it’s a bit of a trek from town if you have a suitcase so need to factor in the cost of taxis. May I ask why the toilet is right next to the shower? It was incredibly distracting and made me feel sick listening to someone doing their business whilst I was getting washed. Poor layout. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.

The man at the front desk decided that my checking in was an inconvenience to him & demanded I pay money that I had already owed. When I proved I had already paid, he then demanded I pay money I technically didn’t owe, as a mistake was made by his female employee prior. The whole ordeal was enough to put me off my stay and ever returning to that hostel again. 0/10 would recommend. Stay at literally any other hostel in the area.

We had a very nice stay at Alice Lodge Backpackers. The room was basic but confortable. The common facilities were kept clean and tidy through the day. And there is breakfast included! Reception is a good source of information for what to do in the region.

We stayed in a private room, shared bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good too, just a short stroll to the town. WiFi worked well in the room and having a fridge is a bonus. Probably lost a few marks on cleanliness but we were only here two days so it was more than manageable.
