Ooraminna has 4 luxury style individual cottages available along with being a premier function event venue. We can host individuals in our unique, family orientated welcoming home on one end of the scale and on the other we can host a dinner for 500 people in the old movie set location. There are walking tracks, a billabong, stock horses roaming peacefully, and a menagerie of other animals to view and interact with. If you want to experience sleeping in a swag out under the stars we have plenty for families or events.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Ooraminna. The rooms were well appointed, air conditioned, with comfy beds. We enjoyed relaxing on our verandah, some time at the nearby lookout and many swims in the new pool. The main homestead, bar, bistro and pool are also spot on. The staff are welcoming and accomodating. Highly recommend a stay at Ooraminna.

What a magical hidden gem this place is!! The family who runs the homestead are lovely and made us feel right at home. Stay up to see the stars litter the sky and give their friendly dog Scruffy a pat as you sit down to enjoy a meal (we had tapas, dinner and breakfast over the course our one night stay), all delicious and generous portions. The log cabin was like stepping back in time; pop the fans on and you'll sleep soundly. Pool was a highlight. Thank you Nicola and family for a relaxing and charming stay.

Nothing short of exceptional! The property is stunning, the owners were warm and hospitable, the food was delicious and the cabin had a comfortable bed, air conditioning and all the amenities you could need! Couldn’t recommend the station enough for an authentic outback station experience with the comforts and thoughtful touches you’d expect. We will return again one day!

Dinner & movie, great night! Fabulous 'venue'. Food was really good & served beautifully. Will be going for a Sunday lunch based on this experience. Proper outback environment but close to town. Well done to hosts & chef!

The Sunday buffet lunch was delicious. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with family and friends. The people were super friendly. Nice scenery. There is an area that feels and looks like out of a western movie. Highly recommend to do it

Overpriced for unpowered site. This place left a bitter taste. We were greeted by 2 young staff (backpackers) who really didn't know much about the place and were not welcoming or informative. Seen no one else or any other staff for the entire visit. Questioned weather the place actually is a working station as the place seemed rather run down. If your wanting to see some Aussy cowboys or chat with a local who knows the area, dont bother with thjs place. The Homestead area was nice, but we camped no where near it and was made to feel like we were not allowed in the bar area. Pretty much go and find a spot in the paddock and dont both us for the rest of your visit kind of feel! The chef was not working, so we didn't even get a meal which I hear is a regular occurrence, (luckily we had some food) the beers were $15.00 each! Rediculous for somewhere that is only 30mins from Alice Springs! If your looking for a Station feel or experience, this is not the place. The camp area with glamping tents is full off cow poo with wild cattle hanging around which stunk, full of flies. It felt more like a massive sandpit in the cattle yards. Told we could camp at the old movie scene area, not a great option either. So we camped in an overgrown paddock full of ants, near the noisy windmill behind a dead tree for some shade. Too far from showers/ toilets so we couldnt use them. Pick a spot in a farmers paddock kinda feel for $50! Worst place we stayed for our entire trip. …

We had a special stay at Ooraminna Station, the cabins have been done to fit the theme of the whole station, each has its own character and they still remain private and quite and the birdlife is amazing. We saw a beautiful wedding at the lookout and the whole evening was like a fairy story, the staff were hardworking and considerate.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the stone house and had an amazing time! We had bought supplies for breakfast and lunch and happy to report that the issues we experienced last time with missing items had been rectified and there was everything we needed at the cottage. We had dinner each night in the restaurant and the food was great and the kids meals (plain pasta with cheese and lasagna) went down well. All staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. From getting us an extra loaf of bread to extra bath gel. It was incredibly cold on the second night (-3) and despite oil heaters and lots of blankets it was very chilly. Staff did deliver a little wood for the fire but not enough to keep it going through the night. But this did not detract from the stay. Highlight was filling the outside bath with buckets from shower and kettle plus sunset at the lookout. Staff ensured that the BBQ at lookout had gas. We lit a fire and had a BBQ dinner looking out over Alice Springs. Overall a great stay!…

One of the highlights of our NT trip, the Homestead is hard to describe. It is a long drive out of town - this is both good and bad depending on your outlook - it is almost in a world of its own and definitely an Outback experience. You can miss the entry gate if you aren't attentive and the access road is definitely suited to 4WD though our 2WD make it in and out OK with a bit of care. We would maybe have some misgivings if any rain was around. The accommodation and restaurant are very special, quite unique and welcoming. It's Outback, not Luxury, but not roughing it either. Not cheap but worth it - there are only a few guests at a time so you will get personal and friendly service. You will never forget your visit. We loved it.

I imagine it's a beautiful place to stay in warmer weather. We had been looking forward to reading in the Log Cabin, exploring the desert, looking at the 'old town' & playing with the animals.. but this time, it was farrrrr too cold & uncomfortable (#mysteryOoraminnaHoon) for our family of 4. We cancelled our 2nd night. I hope we can come back some day, but i'd like it to be with the guarantee that neither staff nor family members will be hooning around in the car til 2am. Complete lack of respect for the comfort & safety of guests. Come to enjoy the peace & quiet?... Not this place, not this time. Incredibly disappointing.
