As Acor platinum card holder got upgraded to ensuite room which made big difference after 7 nights in a campervan! But still would be 4 point rating. But clean room and very friendly staff made 1 night stay very enjoyable. Not cheap, but nothing is there, and excellent point for starting off to see The Rock, and then carrying on...

We stayed 2 nights in one of the lodge rooms. The room was fine with a shower over the bath. Shower was ok but the toilet tended to leak a bit. Room was clean and bed comfy. The lodges looked a bit tired and in need of a spruce up. We had a couple of drinks in the outside bar...

What a funny ole place Ayres Rock Resort it. It's got its own police station, fire station, town square, airport even. All purpose built in the middle of absolutely nowhere! There are several hotels, to suit all budgets, not sure why we stayed in the Outback Pioneer Budget accommodation, we'd spent £11k plus on a once in a lifetime trip...

I booked last minute and got a room here it was relatively basic but just what we needed for our stay at Ayers Rock and only a short 15 minute drive to the rock itself also had a few food options souvenir shop and only a kilometer or two from the town square

The pioneer outback, known as the Outtie by the locals, is the best place to stay in Yulara, NT. The rooms are clean, tidy and very adequate. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help. The bar area is fabulous, it gives you the traditional feel of an Australian outback bar. The entertainer Stuart is awesome, he takes requests...

The hotel was situated in the resort with easy access to all the other hotels and shops via a FREE shuttle bus. The grounds around the hotel were a bit shabby, as were the food and bar area. It needed a good tidy up, but this hotel appeared to be for back-packers or for cheap accommodation. The rooms were tidy...

This site should get a brilliant rating: close to Uluru and Kata Tjuta, with plenty of choices for food and drinks (self catering, pizza, cook-your-own barbecue and full restaurant); plus live entertainment. But... we had limited water on first night and none on second. Self-cooking barbecue was brilliant for crocodile, kangaroo and emu; but offered only plastic forks and some...

Hi JedAfterthought Thank you for sharing your review of the Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge. We greatly appreciate both your positive and constructive feedback which has been shared among our team. Unfortunately during your stay we did experience a burst water pipe, which meant the water was turned off overnight. While we assure you that it was back up and...

Executive Summary: Has all you need, clean room and bathrooms, don't expect hotel quality First off: You need to understand that Ayers Rock Resort enjoys a monopoly there so there is no competition and they can dictate the prices. We stayed at the hostel because it was the cheapest option and I would recommend it if you don't mind sharing...

The lodge and its rooms are very old and dated. For the price that you pay to stay in this part of Australia, you may as well pay a little bit extra and stay at the Emu walk apartments. We stay in a lodge room with a bathroom and the room was a dark concrete box which made you feel...

Rooms look a bit tired but ok for short break when itinerary fairly hectic with sunrise and sunset trips so not great amount of time spent in room. Swimming pool was very warm but to be expected although not very refreshing. Enjoyed bar area but didn't dine in.
