Sails in the dessert is a low rise hotel that is part of the Yalara Resort. Staying at the resort includes transport to and from the airport as well as access to the free resort shuttle. Very friendly staff and well presented common areas add to the appeal. Rooms are spacious and offer a lounge area as well as a...

We had three nights at Sails on a deal and it was great value. It was comfortable and clean. The staff bend over backwards to help you get the most from your stay. The pool was pretty freezing (May) because the overnight temperature got down to 7C but it was a beautiful 28C most days.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Sails in the Desert. Our room was spacious and comfortable, on the ground floor looking out to a garden with 2 chairs and a table outside where we sat and enjoyed a cold drink and a snack when we returned from a few hours of walking in the national park. The bathroom...

I went there with a little bit of reticence but had such a wonderful experience !! The resort, staff and food was excellent. Watching "Uluru" colour change at sunrise and sunset was unbelievable ! Highly recommended.

Ok. So it's a bit pricey. But you're in the middle of no where and it's certainly worth the cost. My room was magnificent. Clearly it had been recently refurbished. My only criticism is the mattress topper and pillows - too squishy. I'd like them firmer. The staff are very friendly. Everyone says hello. The pool area is lovely. Breakfast...

We just got back from Ayres Rock yesterday. We stayed at Sails in the Desert. Very nice hotel in the Desert. We were greeted at the hotel entrance by friendly staff, first with a face towel and then another with a drink. The drink was really nice. The lady you checked us in was also very friendly. My family had...

For where it is, it's pretty good. I would say 4 star service in a 3 star setting. That said, a bottle of French Champagne on ice was awaiting us on arrival in our room to help celebrate our anniversary, and we had a terrific view of the "rock" from our room (372). Some others could be obscured by trees...

We paid extra to stay at a 5 stars hotel. This is a 3 stars at best. I have travelled a lot and stayed in all kinds of hotels. Room is fine. That's it. The ceiling in the entrance of the room was patched and stained, spider web in the corner above our bed, carpet peeling by the patio door,...

Fabulous resort. Attentive, friendly staff. The whole resort of Yulara works like a well oiled machine, smoothly, on time with no fuss. Free activities, lots of eating choices and a great pool to enjoy.

When you call the desk and say there is a line of ants in the bathroom, and they say the spray is in the closet, you know you are experiencing the outback. Right out the door is desert, but in the courtyard is a great pool. Excellent breakfast buffet.
