The lobby is beautiful and the staff working the front desk were fantastic. I remember speaking with Adam and being happy to work with him due to his friendliness and genuine niceness. The room was ok-a bit outdated but there's a huge and fast turnaround...More

First of all the only good thing about this hotel is the room that is it. Now negatives, check in if you can get through the hoards of tourists and guests blocking the main entrance with not only luggage but they are all waiting to...More

Sorry I hope I’m not too late!
Go to the central information hub where the rangers are and they will tell you there is their local ranger that does guided information filled walks from 8am. I found this is exactly when the flies come out so my sister and I took off at 5:30 and walked the opposite way as to what is recommended around the base of Uluru and read all of the information posts along the way. We packed a back pack with water and some fruit but managed to do the walk in 2.5 hrs instead of three and we are not fit people. You can then team up with the guided walk after your own walk around the base as the guided walk is short and only a part of the base walk. Sunrise and sunset are best viewed from the viewing stations that are clearly marked out along the main road. Everything is on the one main road or on the circle where the hotels are. I was happily surprised to find how easy navigating was here. If you do long drives be sure to lock your doors as we stopped for what looked like a family with a broken down car but turned out to be a group of aboriginals trying to suss our what we had in our car.
Hope this helps!
