We loved our room, #328. It had a beautiful patio and breathtaking views. It was a 10 minute walk to the village which was nice and convenient. Rooms were clean and modern and nicely furnished. Food was good but pricey.

Hi JaneSJC It is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here at Desert Gardens. Our rock view rooms are very popular and it is indeed a unique opportunity to watch the beauty of an Uluru sunrise and sunset from the comfort of your balcony. We look forward to welcoming you back to the resort again in...

Like national parks everywhere, Ayers Rock Resort has pretty much a monopoly on lodging. It is a JV between ACCOR group of France and the local aboriginals. They really try to train the staff, but it is all pretty iffy. Prices are high. A $36 breakfast buffet which was sub-average seemed high for out in the middle of nowhere, so...

There is nothing wrong with this hotel. Location is great - the first hotel as you enter Ayers Rock. The setting is very nice, good gardens and places to sit. The swimming pool wasn't open (it was winter I suppose) but looked good. I had a standard room. Not the height of luxury but comfortable enough with everything you needed....

The Desert Gardens is the mid-price rnage hotel in Ayres Rock Resort within a 5 minute walk of the village square with its grocery store, restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Our room was very large, clean, and comfortable with two king beds. The portable heater was efficient to take the chill out of the cold evenings. The bathroom was large and...

What a great stay!! Initially an issue with an overpayment, but that was quickly sorted out. The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all very happy, friendly and above all, seemed to really enjoy their work. The breakfasts were wonderful, the beds comfortable and the view from the rooms to the rock was lovely. We...

The Desert Gardens is the mid price range hotel in Ayres Rock Resort and is easily walkable from the main shopping / eating area. The hotel wasn't too bad but painted breeze block walls in the bedrooms is not my idea of decor!

Going to Yulara, be prepared to pay more for the location. The Desert Gardens was not a hotel I would usually go to. The bed was comfortable, but the room was pretty run down. The water kettle was rather disgusting and the curtains could do with a replacement. There is a pool, but it is under construction, which nobody bothered...

A nice hotel but because of the isolation of the resort everything is very expensive,On Mothers day we ordered breakfast in bed ($43) but by the time we got it it was cold. A family would be better off in the serviced apartments where they could cook their own meals.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel offers a much cheaper room rate if u stay 3 nights. It also offers stay 5 pay 3 but there's not enough to do around Uluru to warrant a 5 night stay. Has everything you need especially if you're out doing day yours or hiking most of the time.

Just stayed the one night at the Desert Gardens Hotel. At $355 a night, it's very, very expensive, purely due to location and the company's ability to charge whatever they like because there are no other options. The room was reasonably clean, although we did have to get insect spray for the trail of ants in our room. The bathroom...
