Hotel's Favourite
Stayed at the Vitina for three nights and had a great stay. The hotel is situated on the edeg of the CBD and we found it convenient for the wharf area, the botanical gardens and Mindil beach (Casino and museum).
The room was good, comfy bed with two pillows each, blankets and everything you need for a great nights sleep. The kettle, toaster and microwave along with tea/coffee/uht milk and chilled water were all very welcome too.
The aircon was good and we like the fan as provided more choice over a/c and ventilation.
The continental breakfast was great too and very generous.
The staff were very friendly, no issues leaving luggage and arranged taxis etc.
Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Would select a room with verandah for a little more space and outlook. Worth the small extra cost.

Darwin is very busy at this time of the year which is reflected in high prices for accommodation across town. Many hours were spent researching hotels for our 4 nights before starting a road trip down south. It seemed getting value for money was difficult so in the end we were pleased with our choice.
Vitina fit the bill with good reviews on TA. The location is close to the Botanical Gardens and Mindl Markets which suited us. The walk into town was 10-15 minutes and will not suit everyone. The public bus (free for seniors) is excellent and took us just about everywhere until we picked up our hire car.
The rooms are small. There’s no getting around that. The Dokana Studio is the basic double bed room and is very compact. However, there are many positives. There was room for 2 suitcases on benches, it was clean and looked recently painted and enough space to move around the room unencumbered. Air-con and overhead fan worked well and were reasonably quiet. There was some noise at night when noisy neighbours returned home well after midnight which can happen anywhere. The area is quiet despite facing on to Gardens Road which is a bit of a raceway at times. The pool area is lovely and welcome in the heat.
Reception staff are very helpful and friendly as are the visitors who stay here. People stop and chat which is nice. Parking looked easy if you have a car and overall we enjoyed our stay.

We have just had 2 weeks at this lovely motel, not what we had planned but our campervan had a major breakdown so we needed to stay in Darwin while it was being sorted out. What a great find, such friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had a ground floor room with a kitchenette and a patio. It was near everything we needed to get to, short walk to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and a short walk the other way to the city. Ideal spot to pop over to the famous Mindel Beach Markets and very handy to bus routes to get anywhere else in Darwin. The rooms and grounds were spotless and although we were next to the road, we heard no noise at night . Comfortable furnishings and tastefully decorated, it felt like home ! Thank you to you all for making our stay so pleasant.

+1
My family booked 2x family suites and a smaller room to fit my family, one of the rooms had water everywhere so we were 'upgraded' to a smaller but nicer room what a lie that was! Pictures speak for there selves, shower was filled with black mould, curtains filthy, holes in the roof, cracks in the paint, just gross! And not only that the security locking chain was broken so we couldnt have a safe and secure room.
We went to voice our concerns upon check out and the reception was closed, sent an email and was advised they would look into it and haven't heard back since.. the room was disgusting and my request for a refund is not unreasonable..

Good Morning Tamika We are highly apologize for your awful experience. I would like to inform you that we take all the feedback very seriously. We are investigating the matter to find out how you have been accommodated in a room which had mould on the bathroom. It is completely unacceptable that none of our staff has noticed that. I will also organize a refresher training to educate our staff members about the expected standard of our motel which i belive will help us to avoid this unexpacted situataion in future. I apologize once again for any inconvenience. Kind Regards

We enjoyed our stay in the updated apartment, although small it was comfortable and secure. It was more affordable than some other options and was easy walking distance to the CBD and many other attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a great pool and BBQ area with cooking gear provided from reception.
We did have issues with our shower flooding the whole bathroom floor due to poor renovation.
Also, the ground floor door was extremely load every time it closed, we heard it every time day and night even though we were at the other end of the building. I'm sure that the whole building heard it too. Fix the door please Vitina - it wouldn't be an expensive job! Or else remove the door - its not really required. Another small point was that people smoked in the washing machine/ laundry area outside our bathroom window and we could smell it in our apartment if the window was open.
We would stay there again.

Vitina has returned from being City Edge, and has been refurbished and refreshed. Our 6 day stay was excellent. Rooms spacious, clean, with daily service. We always choose the the upstairs studio rooms with the view of the parks. The dehumidifier worked very well during the wet season rain and humidity. Staff very helpful and friendly. Vitina is centrally located making it very convenient to explore Darwin, its galleries, gardens and parks. (This was our ninth stay)

We stayed here for 9 nights. We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious, although the bathrooms are a bit cramped. All the same, the water was plentiful and easily adusted. The Sunday morning breakfast buffet was excellent. The business is close to to almost everything CBD. It was too hot too walk far,but we were rarely more than a couple of km from excellent restaurants etc.

I was looking for a cheap motel at a last minute for my 1 week stay in Darwin City and booked the room without much research. When I came to my booked room, I was blown away by the cleanliness and service standard provided by the motel with that price. The service was simply impeccable.
Thanks Katarina and Vitina motel team for taking care of me during my stay.

City edge motel is 5 -10 mins walk from Darwin CBD, supermarkets and Mindil Beach and Star city. If you want to see more sights, you will need to hire car! (As we did for 12 days) The roads are spacious and traffic light. There are plenty of car hire depots in CBD. However, if you have pre booked all tours, they usually include pick up from your motel. It's about $30 for trip to and from airport to CBD. Choose a spacious taxi if you have more than 2 cases. and confirm fare.
Hi rolloverredrover, our motel is located 11.1km from Darwin International Airport - about 12 minutes drive time on a good day. We estimate that it would cost around $25 for a Taxi, however there are some good Shuttle Bus services you could look into. We do offer 12pm checkouts to our guest, at a cost of $35. You can inquire about this further upon check-in. We look forward to welcoming you to Vitina Studio Motel!
The flight from Adelaide gets in at 1.25am, what arrangements do you offer to meet this arrival time
We arrived after office hours. There is a phone opposite reception with direct connection to the after hours service and a phone number beside this if you want to use your own mobile. The after hours service gave me the code to the safe beside the phone which had an envelope with our room key and documents. Easy!
Hello 聿圻 蘇
Yes you can check-in after hours. Please contact us prior to your arrival. Email our reservations team and include your booking number and we will certainly help! Thankyou.
