Me and my cousin stayed at Woodducks for one night before catching a tour. I can say without a doubt that this is NOT a hostel I would revisit. To start, when checking in the hostel messed up our booking. Rather then having it marked down as two people for one night, they had one person for two nights and...

being thw cheapest of what u can find around, not much to complain about. noisy beds. Friendly staff in general, but when it comes to happen that half of the people are long term stayers, its a little bit complicated to socialize. the price made it,anyway

After reading the reviews i was leery about staying here, but it was cheaper than the hostels on either side, neither of which had better reviews. Check in was quick and easy, the receptionist was nice and helpful. The tour of the place was easy enough. The common area and kitchen were tidy, if not really clean. I did see...

When you book a private room and pay triple the price of a dorm room, you expect it to be private. We stopped here for 2 nights, when we were shown our room I just wanted to turn around and leave. To get to our "private" room we had 2 keys. One to let ourselves into the 8 bed mixed...

I have been staying here a couple of days and it was an awsom time! First the staff is so nice and helpfull they printed me maps for nearly everything. Also they helped me planing my trips and getting discounts even if I have not booked through them. The kitchen has most things that you need but wasn't the cleanest...

We spent 3 nights here in what was a "private twin room" and didn't get much change from $200. Our private room was accessed via a dorm and meant that we might as well have been in the dorm, everything from either room could be heard! When we arrived it was a friendly greeting from the guy at the front...

I didn't stay here very long, but I loved it! It was basic but the girl at the front desk was so lovely & welcoming, the bed was comfy & it was clean & fairly priced! I would recommend! I've stayed in a few of the Brisbane hostels & Woodduck was probably my favourite! Thanks for having me guys!

I was staying here for 2 nights, adidn't have a great start with Woodduck after stating in my booking that I would be arriving after 8pm, only to get there and have no one answer the phone number on the locked door. I was waiting about 40 minutes before they managed to find the night manager and let me in....

I had not read all good things about this hostel but as the area appeared to be full when I booked last minute I decided to go for it anyway - how bad could it be? Well, the bathrooms were generally unclean, the place is like a party-house and very loud with minimal soundproofing. The saving grace of my stay...

This is a small hostel and it is very easy to make friends there, but the facilities are bad. There is a hole in the corner of the common area which lets a cold wind blow through; the roof drips when it rains; there are only two showers in the mens toilet, one of which has no pressure and the...
