Carindale Hotel is collecting the contact information from customers claiming its for Covid contact tracing, then distributing customer contact information to a 3rd party called MrYum without the consent of the customer. I have contacted both MrYum and Carindale Hotel and neither is prepared to help remove my information or explain why they are doing this.

Had a visit here with a mate for lunch. The Atmosphere was amazing and it was so busy. We had parked in the Center so we were on site and parking was free. The crowd in the Hotel was huge and service was fast. the price of the snitzel i had was expensive for the meal i received. the chips were few and they were only hardly warm. the salad was two pieces of lettuce with a lot of salad dressing. The drinks were expensive at $4.50 for a glass of lemonade.

10 out of 10 Carindale Hotel. Your Melbourne Cup lunch was excellent value. Food was great, my glass was never empty of Moet Champagne. I have paid way more and got way less. We will be back next year.

Had lunch with friends. I have always been impressed with the quality of the food on offer at the Hotel. This time though, I ordered their beef and burgundy pie. The pie was adequate with a puff pastry top, but there was a wee amount of allegedly mushy peas and a half an average sized mushroom. The peas had not been mushy for a long time and were quite dry. On top of this, the mushroom was not large and that was it. I don't need large meals but this was very small by previous standards at this establishment. Don't think we'll be eating there again for some time and see if it gets back on track. Shame really, as it was a very handy venue. $19.00 is not cheap for a pie with very little.

This is a fabulous spot for lunch and/or dinner. The menu is a typical of a bistro and is presented well and promptly. My favourite thing to do at Carindale shopping centre is to call in for a frosty cold Peroni. The tap beers offer a wide range of styles and they have a great selection of wines by the glass or bottle. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming. Staff turnover must be low as I've been stopping there regularly over the last cpl of years and the faces are always familiar. I probably should mention names here but as a mature age male, it's a bit awkward asking pretty young lady's names in a bar. 😀😀. The atmosphere is great so men, if you have to take the wife/girlfriend shopping, take them to Carindale and sit yourself down in the bar while they go shopping and buy them a wine when they are done. Best place ever.

Have not been to Carindale Hotel for a long time, my daughters decided to have lunch there, never again.!!!! I had special of 2 courses, opted for fish for main and dessert. Chips were as hard a rocks and fish average, but it seems it was worst than that as I vomited later that night. My dessert was terrible I think it had been sitting in the cabinet for a couple of weeks. As for my daughters meals, her chips also rock hard and steak very very small got lost in all the salad. Very Disappointed to say the least they need to lift there food standards, plenty of other food options in the mall in the shopping centre..

Local hotel restaurant/ bistro with daily specials. Service was very attentive and meals were great. A little noisy but still very enjoyable. All This inside the shopping centre! Underground parking at no charge after 5.30pm!

After going to this place occasionally over the past four years, we won’t return. Tonight was the last chance. It’s not acceptable to serve avocado booster, diluted cocktails and watery sauces. The staff aren’t friendly and they are disinterested. The food is less than average, unappetizing and the presentation is from another era. Hot tip: employ a good chef and pay them well.

Went there for a family dinner. The lamb shank was cold and dry. The mash potato it came with was ok. The steaks were average. The service was good and friendly but when and where the food is not good, the service is not that important.

Not a hotel as you would expect - it's more of a pub-restaurant dining place, located within Westfield Carindale Shopping Centre; though also accessible from Carindale Street. We've been here twice - and both experiences were quite different. First experience in the first half of the year was a 2.5 out of 5 rating due to poor staff service however a more recent dining experience seemed to show that staff have redeemed themselves with smiles and better customer service. As most pub style dining, you order at the counter and pay before your meal is delivered. Ordering can be prompt if there's no queue or can take a while on Friday nights where the place generally gets higher occupancies. Thinking about the most recent experience: Staff at the order counter were friendly, though it took some time for our orders to be entered no doubt a sign of a trainee, but that was fine as long as they were polite. As the place was probably at 10-15% occupancy, our food arrived promptly, some 10 minutes after order payment. We had the special of the day - chicken pie with chips and the sand crab lasagne with abalone cream sauce. The sand crab lasagne - being a permanent menu item - was excellent. The chicken pie, when devouring it tasted creamy and filled with chicken chunks (that was great). However post meal the person in our party who ate the chicken pie had a very (x2) bloated tummy that was clearly attributed to the chicken pie - special of the day. As we previously ordered (and paid for) dessert, when we finished main meals and informed staff, they prompted brought out our dessert (though they forgot one menu item). As per my photo attached, plating was fine for a pub-like environment. Ambience was pub-like, not a place for a romantic dinner of sorts. But certainly akin to an "after work drinks" environment. As with some dining places, there are the odd staff that service without a smile or regard for guests. On this occasion, there was one such person but we were exposed to this person when we finished our meals - so that was fine by us. Overall a 0.5 more than previous experience puts my current rating at 3 out of 5. WIR - possibly if there are irresistible dining offers.
