We stayed here for the weekend for a city getaway and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great access to the train network to get us to Keith Urban concert at Boondall. Service throughout our stay was excellent, especially Will the concierge who was very professional and friendly. Restaurant staff great also. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.

It has been many years since we have stayed at this hotel and it felt like coming home. Greeted warmly and directed to a spacious, well maintained room with good views. Nice bed and quality toiletries. Well positioned close to Central Station. Not much has changed at Club Millesime - it is still an oasis of peace where one can sit quietly. We are already planning our next stay here.

I stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane Central for a weekend away in Brisbane. Unfortunately, the experience was not great. On arrival, there was a large queue of cars, so I ended up waiting around 15 mins in my car (I can understand it was a busy time, however many staff were around). I was asked to then check-in and come back and move the car to the self parking, which I did. There was no welcome or offer to take my bags up to my room, so I ended up having to do this myself lugging up two sets of escalators from the carpark. The check-in staff were definitely not up-to a five star standard, lacking emotion and tried to avoid any additional "work" - on checking in and questioning the carpark arrangements, I was told "what do you expect from a 30 year old hotel" - this sort of set the scene for the rest of the stay. On going to the room, I found the hallways dimely lit and in dire need of renovation - the room entrances and doors were un-appealing - it was almost comical to see the suits name "Prestige Suite 1 / 2" in big bold letters - not luxury or sophisticated. The room itself was old, with furnishings that need replacement. There was so much dust I had to get housekeeping to come and sanitise the room once again as I was not happy with the overall cleanliness, especially in times of covid. The minibar setup lacked substance with the setup stacking food items up in the corner - how much would it really cost to have a nice display or cabinet for these? The fridge was old and made a lot of noise at night. The little touches were missing too, such as an in-room compedium as well as turn-down and newspapers - all things you would expect from a hotel of this standard (and what they charge for). The shower over the bath arrangement is not ideal, is dangerous and caused a large amount water to leak out all over the floor from under the small glass door - with no floor drain, the water ended up pooling on the floor and had to be mopped up with towels. Breakfast in the morning was again dissapointing - the staff seemed inattentive, and not engaging and wanted to have as little to do as possible with patrons. Leaving bread and pastry items out in the open air is probably not the best either at the entrance, as there is nothing stopping insects or anyone coughing / sneezing in proximity to this area. Would I stay here again? Probably not as I believe there are better hotels in Brisbane. This property is not upto the standard of other Sofitels in Australia such as the Wentworth / Darling Harbour in Sydney. There needs to be further polish added to the experience because at the moment, this property is operating at "three star" level.

If I could rate Sofitel Brisbane 0 I would. They confused with my another guest and gave me her room key at check in. When I entered the room all her belonging were there (she was not) and I promptly left the room realising there was a mistake. I was there for a work conference and when I returned home I checked my credit card and they had charged me the other guests expenses. They refunded me however 1 month later they charged me 1 nights accomodation even though I was back in Melbourne. They did not destroy my credit card details and charged my card unlawfully and without my authorisation. Although I got my money back, their customer service was terrible and no follow up phone call was made to explain what had happened even though that was promised. Another colleague had their computer and personal effects stolen from their room. Very poor excuse for a 5 star hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years and our last stay we could feel a really good vibe amongst the staff and other guests. Concierge are vibrant and energetic, reception staff were very warm and welcoming, Cuvée Bar attendants excellent with drink recommendations and friendly efficient service. Suzette restaurant had a stunning selection of seafood and international dishes for breakfast and Lunch along with exceptional service. I will be definitely booking the Sofitel Brisbane Central for my next stay in Brisbane. Thank you for the great stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in a superior room, the check in was quick and efficient. The hotel is quite big, and the lobby is a nice open area with a good atmosphere, the bar is off to one side with the restaurant next door, we had breakfast in there and it was buffet style with plenty of choice it did get very busy on occasions, but it is large so no problems. The room itself was a good size and very comfortable, the bed was great, and a good size TV was fitted. There was also a good desk if you needed to work. The bathroom had both bath and shower. The location was great, the train station could be accessed from the hotel. So, travel was easy. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again as we found it to be a good luxury hotel, the only downside is upon check out we asked the day before if we could have a late check out as my loyalty status says late check out comes with the level I have got, but the lady on the desk just said no, she never even looked to see is one was available. Sorry to finish with a moan as it was a good stay.

Lovely room, lovely evening at Suzettes - extremely reasonable with 2 for 1 with Accor Plus card. Breakfast as usual wonderful and again 2 for 1. Even had coffee served within a reasonable time which has been missing pre Covid. A small hiccough at check in with room not available and told we would be messaged or rung on our phone as we had a complimentary drink. Unfortunately this did not occur and after 40 mins, a return to the desk revealed the room had been ready.

I am an Accor Platinum member and booked well in advance to use my free nights. I communicated via email prior to my stay after reading recent bad reviews to try to ensure my stay went well, it surely did. From early check in, to free room upgrade, late check out, exceptional service from all staff. I was fortunate to be on Level 28 which is my favourite now and hope I will always be allocated here. I love the beds here, great mini bar. Enjoyed my time at the club lounge with Daniel taking very good care of me, ensuring my drink of request was available on my second night since it wasn't on my first night. Hot food is now self serve, previously was delivered to tables. I'm hoping the lounge will open for breakfast in the future. I was checked in and out by Kate who ensured all went well with my final bill after my card was charged after the first night without my authority. Be careful of this, I will be more aware for future stays. I do believe my membership level does not need to provide credit card at check in, I was surprised I was asked, I did mention this and told only a $1 holding would be charged, I've now learnt my lesson. I also had a hiccup at the downstairs bar, I believe these small matters could come down to more training needed?? Breakfast was fine, I've had better and had worse, so just average in my opinion. No freshly squeezed juices, only the processed ones. I was lucky to have Alpha take care of me, I recall her from previous stays, she is a great staff member. It did not appear that the pool and spa areas were fully cleaned or checked early morning as both mornings the spa was not working and towels and rubbish around the area. I was also told from another guest that parking rates can be negotiated, also had this confirmed by a staff member, I did ask, was told it would be checked for me however no one came back to me and my bill had full charge. At least I accrued points. Small welcome gift, arrived mid afternoon, other Diamond guests did say they received wine too. Overall I did enjoy my stay however see why there are some negative reviews as some areas do need improvement considering the expectations of this brand of hotel. Thanks to all of the staff and the downstairs bar manager for my champagne 🍾 Look forward to my next stay.
