This is a great, clean and comfortable hostel with all the facilities you'll need and a fantastic rooftop view! We stayed only for one night but I will choose to stay here again when I next visit Brisbane. Reception were helpful and we had a good night sleep in a six bed mixed dorm.

This is a very good hostel, most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, that's when you don't have to deal with the chatty ones who take forever to acknowledge you. Free wifi is only at reception. I booked a 4 share with ensuite, I don't mind paying the extra for the privacy but I must admit I was...

Brisbane City YHA is a big hostel located about 600m from Roma Station. It certainly has a lot to offer, such as a rooftop swimming pool, very nice common areas (TV Lounge, Pool room etc.) and tries to raise conciousness for the environment - hence they offer plenty of recycling stations, even for clothes, batteries and so on, which is...

Usually hostels are somewhat a little rundown and grotty in some areas but not this one! It is definitely like a hotel which has also been said by other reviewers. Wicked common areas, the rooftop pool has incredible views of the city and there is even movie/pool rooms. It's a shame Brisbane as a city isn't a bit better which...

I only stayed here for one night so I didn't get the chance to take advantage of all the facilities - but what I did have was a great time. The male staff member on reception when I arrived (he had a funny hat on with a lightbulb on it!) was soo helpful! Most helpful staff member I've come across...

Perfect position in Brisbane walk straight down the hill and you are in the queens plaza! Suncorp stadium in a five min walk away and the barracks have all your groceries, resturants and movies covered. The Roma st station for all public transport is a three min walk down the hill easy!! I stayed as I was moving to Brissy...

I enjoyed my stay at YHA City Brisbane as I found the staff to be very helpful with any questions I had. I found the film night on a Monday a great way to spend an evening after a long day of sight seeing. What I most liked about this hostel was the vibe and atmosphere it gave; it was...

I am in my 30's and never stayed in a hostel before. Definitely wasn't looking for a party house. The hostel was social, but not rowdy. No complaints there. There was a good mix of all age groups. The security was good and we felt safe. The rooms were basic, but clean and modern. My friend and I stayed in...

This YHA is great! Very helpful friendly staff, a rooftop pool and sundeck with incredible river views, massive kitchen and dining areas. It was an easy 15 minute walk into the heart of the city, or 20 minute walk to South Bank parklands. I would definitely recommend this hostel

Very close to city center (10 minute walk) and transport interchange. Great for events and Friday night city life. If you're going to lose something, do it at YHA Brisvegas! Lost my favourite (with sentimental value) pearl earring down the handbasin drain on my recent visit. I mentioned this to Nina at Reception when I checked out - who could...
