I have lived her long term for 2 years the unit is very outdated and filthy Manager charges different prices for every person same facilities Manager enters units and room looks through your cupboards and personal items without any notice or permission on occasions without even knocking. Managers believe Renters have no rights and they have the right to do what they want u have no privacy it makes me sick to know he and she have been in my room when I am at work doing what they please I would not recommend this accomodation to anyone be very careful if u stay here as managers believe u don’t have any rights as I mentioned I lived here for 2 years got stuck and was told after 2 years I must pay Bond I offered to pay it off $50 per week unexceptable to Manager I then approached RTA Told Manager then they said they now want to change it from 1 month to 3days I then mentioned to managers I have been to tribunal many times as I was treated unfairly and never lost they commented if we knew that we wouldn’t have let u stay confirming they do not believe their guests tenants renters long or short term. Do not have rights and will do all they can to evict u i would not recommend this very poor accomodation to anyone

Don't be fooled by the high reviews, they're probably false. The room was alright (bit dirty and not that great, but it was cheap so I wasn't that surprised), but the kitchen was absolutely disgusting. It smelled like rot, made me want to vomit, and to top it all off there was no cutlery so we had to use toothpicks. So much for 'fully fitted kitchens'. I would rather spend half the price of one night ordering food than cooking it at this place. I understand it's a shared situation but if you're renting rooms out to short stay people it'd be nice if the kitchens and living space it boasts were actually liveable. My boyfriend and I had fully planned our meals but ended up spending extra money and time so we didn't have to go downstairs. I would never come here again nor would I ever recommend this to anyone.

Worst place to stay for short term ever! Place looks nothing like website pics, place is filthy with diet all over walls, grease scum all over kitchen and windows filthy- sliding door is so dusty can hardly see through it. Room stank so bad of cigarette that I couldn't sleep, had no basic toiletries like wash cloth or toothpaste, and didn't say anything regarding this when booking or on site. Other than fresh sheets and towels I can not say a good thing about this place. Also got completely stuffed around when booking, first they didn't respond to confirm until when I followed up, then later changed the price after I had emailed to confirm, then tried to get me to book online for extra fee of $70 dollars on top of $50 a night change. This place is a student lodge for Japanese students and no where does it imply this at all!!!

Room was clean and tidy. Air-conditioner cooled the room adequately. The ensuite gave basic amenities and was clean. The shared kitchen was clean and tidy. Meals could easily be prepared. Persian restaurant meal was great. Restaurant is alcohol free.

Narelle and her husband made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They spoiled me by showing me all their amenities and fully explained all about their local transport to and from the city of Brisbane. My room was very comfortable and the self contained cooking facilities were exellent. I thoroughly recommend 45 Barrett Street Brisbane to the whole World. It's fit for a king.

Stayed for 3 nights. It's a house share accommodation which was suitable for us. Own bedroom with private bathroom. Plenty of space in the room with a desk and chair and plenty of wardrobe space. Clean and tidy. Owners were very polite and friendly. If you don't drive then Coles etx are pretty far but there is a shuttle bus if you ask at the office. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Every time I come to Brisbane, I always stay here because it's such a great value for money and the environment is so friendly and relaxing. The price is unbeatable, it's really close to public transport and everyone that works there goes the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A short walk to the Queensland State Athletic Centre. Budget accommodation, reasonable prices. Share units but great for families or small groups.Close to city buses, so after a day at the track, you can catch a bus into the city to explore the sights of Brisbane.
