We travelled up through the east coast and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. When we got there we had to use a password as it was after 10pm. When we opened the door, what looked like two drug addicts or homeless people, walked in and tried taking the elevator. Luckily you need a room card for this. On one side of the hotel there’s a bottle shop and on the other side apartments that are quite shady. This whole thing made us VERY uncomfortable. The room smelled like mould and you could feel almost every spring in the bed. The only thing good about this place is the view. Would not recommend.
Should have booked somewhere else! This hotel is dated and in disrepair. Old beds and linen. Continent breakfast not worth ordering. Should spent the extra to get a better place or even a Motel. Not again.
Room stunk made family members quite sick not even being in the room 5 mins sliding door would not work ( no fresh air ) lifts didn’t work correctly would not recommend this place Got a half refund back not impressed about that either not even worth 1 circle
We had to fill in one night in Cairns as I already had booked a different property but we arrived one day earlier than expected. I had booked through Expedia but ended up paying a small fee to upgrade to an ocean view on arrival. We were on floor 5 and I think it was room 503. The view was beautiful and we were situated in a nice spot looking to the sea over palm trees. Our room was spotless. I actually was shocked as the bathroom was one of the cleanest I’ve seen. The room only had a queen and a single so my two children shared with me while my husband took the single. Probably wouldn’t be comfortable for an extended stay but fine for a short stay. Staff were friendly but I think they had been very busy, so getting pool towels took time as they had run out. This was fine as they explained why. For the price we really couldn’t complain. My kids enjoyed the pool. The only thing is it’s quite a way up the esplanade so walking into town was quite far with 2 kids. We caught a taxi home as didn’t feel safe walking back that far in the dark. Bottle shop didn’t have a lot but it was good enough and the prices were very reasonable. Could definitely find something we liked. Very handy. For the price it was good value. …
So disappointing. Would not recommend this place at all! We booked as a family for joining rooms for over Christmas and Boxing Day. We booked ocean view rooms with 2 queen beds in each room. 3 adults and a child. On arrival they gave us the keys, I got to my room and there was 2 single beds in the room and our ocean view was a tin roof. And in the other room was also only 2 single beds. We went downstairs to say this is not what we booked and paid for. The lady was not willing to help. After going on and on to her and showing her out booking she ended up moving us to different rooms but we had to pay extra for this. We get to the rooms, they’re not joined ones and they both only have 1 queen and 1 single bed... how is this suppose to sleep 3 adults and 1 child.? Then to top it off, go into the bathroom to have a shower and the bathroom light doesn’t work..... don’t waste your time or money on this place. I went to speak to the manager about it all and the lady at the front desk refused to get the manage for me to speak to. You can’t adjust the aircon so it’s absolutely freezing in the rooms and the they don’t offer any other pillows or blankets.…
