The Coral Tree is located within easy walking distance of both to the Esplanade and, in the opposite direction, the large Cairns Central shopping centre. We stayed two nights on the hotel's second floor, which was fine. But the lack of a lift (and porterage, from what I could see) could well be problem for those with mobility issues or heavy bags. Room was spacious, bed comfy and the wifi signal strong. Our room had a small balcony overlooking Grafton St that was a bit too small to be useful. Did think street noise might be a problem but in fact it was not an issue. Staff friendly and efficient and left-luggage facility is available. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel's Favourite
This Inn is in a great position especially if you like to walk. There is no elevator so the best rooms are on the ground floor if you don’t want to tackle the stairs. There is a lovely BBQ area that is kept really clean. All the utensils, crockery and cutlery is given to you from the reception if required. There is a big laundry with coin operated washer and dryers. The pool is beautiful and very clean. The laundry also has a microwave oven for everyone to use or you can hire one for your room. The dining room is closed until march 2023. You are in walking distance to a Hugh range of cafes and shops. If you wish to book tours reception can organise that for you. We had room 115 it was great, it opened out onto the BBQ area and has a table and 2 chairs outside your door. The room was large and bed comfortable. There is a small fridge, kettle, tea and coffee in your room. Large colour TV. Bathroom has a walk-in shower. Every morning between 7am and 9 am in the foyer they have freshly brewed coffee and biscuits and the coffee is really good. Our room was refreshed every day with fresh towels and our bed sheets were changed every 3 days. The housekeeping ladies were lovely and would help out any way they could. We would stay there again

Booked early direct with CTI, got a great rate for our 2 week stay. A 15/20 min flat walk and you are in the town. Our room was on the 3rd floor, no lift so good exercise. Great comfortable beds, shocking pillows too soft for me, i ended up using the little red cushion that sits on the bed. Shower over bath, no rails so if you are unsteady on your feet take care. The sofa in the lounge has seen better days as you sink into it. Our room was over the BBQ area some families can be noisy but i never heard them when i went to bed. Attentive housekeeping always asking what you need for a daily refill of tea coffee ect. Sorry to say but reception dont seem very happy, there is only one older asian lady whoever smiled. I never got her name. The young lady from NZ is lovely she just needs to smile more. The guy on reception might be in the wrong vocation i feel. I work with the public its my passion and know you collect more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. At the end of the day would i stay here again, yes i would. Sorry no photos.

Hi Linsim thank you for taking the time to write us a review and give us feedback, we appreciate it as we can grow further as a business. I do not appreciate you using my staff members nationalities to voice your feedback as i find it rather rude. I suggest on your next stay, you come to reception to meet all the wonderful staff and get to know there names as I am sure they would have been extremely happy to share there kindness/ happiness back towards you.

I recently celebrated my 80th birthday in Cairns. I stayed at the Coral Tree for a week with my family and friends. I can honestly say that I have stayed in places all over the world but this is the friendliest place ever. The staff from reception to cleaning were very pleasant and obliging.I have been to Cairns numerous times and my only regret is not findiing this place sooner. Will be going back. My only complaint is I had to leave.

Coral Tree was an agreeable budget hotel that was perfect for a short 2 day stay. The rooms were a good size, the location on Grafton St is comfortable walking distance from pretty much anywhere in Cairns CBD including the Esplanade, Marina & Cairns Central. There is minimal onsite parking (not secure or undercover) but plenty of street parking is available near the hotel. There is a pool to cool off in if you wish (perfect during the summer season) & pre covid there was a breakfast cafe attached but it wasn’t operating when I stayed. The staff were very friendly & helpful too. I would definitely stay here again for my next return to Cairns.

I am so appreciative that there exists a place that still values customer service throughout the hotel. The staff were phenomenal. Sharee helped make our bookings and recommendations to all our activities during our stay in Cairns a huge success. This Inn is conveniently located close to the heart of city centre. I look forward to next trip. Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Nice room, comfortable bed. We stayed 1 night, convenient location in centre of Cairns. No lift however we were only on the 1st floor so not too many flights of stairs to carry our bags. Nice reception staff.

Enjoyed a 7 night stay and would not hesitate to stay at the Coral Teee Inn again. Close to the heart of Cairns within east walking distance. The room and facilities were very clean and the staff were amazing. We only had to ask and the staff happily met all our needs. Lovely pool, BBQ and garden setting to relax by at the end of the day.

Upgraded to their amazing suite on level 3. Absolutely loved it, quiet, safe and has great tropical vibes. Kind services, allowed a late check-out when I fell ill over night, and used their facilities since our flight out was at night. Shower, towels and luggage storage all conveniently provided. Very grateful and appreciative of their services. Would be delighted to stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Good amenities. Unfortunately with tiled corridors it is far too noisy. Also there is no elevator so you need to be fit enough to carry your suitcase up the stairs.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we sincerely it. The hotel is extremely small and cannot have an elevator due to council regulations to be fair. We always go out of our way to assist guest(s) with luggage or if a guest asks for assistance, we will be happy to help with bags if a staff member is psychically able to assist. We have clear marketing regarding stair access only across all booking channels, so we always suggest our guests ask for a ground floor room prior to check in if booking a standard style of room. Unfortunately, all our suite rooms are on the 3rd floor, with stair access only, however, we are always willing to help if we can.
