A really great hotel from checking in friendly wonderful staff at Reception, the rooms were so clean, with lots of towels, toiletries. Coffee different teas. Everything set out perfectly. Loved the Ambience and location of the Hotel especially the cute garden chair in the front entrance.

Wow wow wow 🤩 a massive thank you to Mathew and the guys at the holiday inn ❤️ even when experiencing small issues Mathew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. He also has a wealth of knowledge for any thing your heart desires or wants to know. But omg the high light for me was the beds 🤩 absolutely amazing beds that I could sleep on for a week straight. Even completed with soft and firm pillows labeled on each bed to make sure every one is as comfortable as possible. The pool was also a stunning highlight 🤩🫶 Will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future 🫶

Great food and friendly helpful staff. Although this building is quite old it has been reasonably well renovated and is very comfortable to stay at. I had to leave VERY early to catch a bus and was supplied with a box breakfast, most welcome at 5am. On my return from my trip to Karumba we found that my booking had been made incorrectly a week further ahead.on arrival at 7pm , very tired,I was very grateful that the duty manager was able to put me into a very nice room for the night, and I was able to have a delightful meal and catch up with the gorgeous Shoni who welcomed me back even though I looked and smelt like Robinson Caruso, would definitely go there again.

Professional, well run hotel in picturesque location. Staff were polite and courteous. Rooms are reasonably spacious with doors opening to balcony. The better rooms have lovely bay views. Furnishings were slightly dated and there was no fan in the bathroom. Shower curtain wasn’t great for containing splashes. Excellent mattresses and pillows. Hotel pool was pristine and excellent for an afternoon/early evening dip. Room service food was good quality and promptly delivered. Hotel is a 15 minute casual stroll along esplanade to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and wound return for another visit.

We booked the Holiday In in Cairns but had firstly a death in the family then secondly a cancelled flight. Irsalina in reception was so kind, understanding and helpful and we incurred no extra charges as she moved our booking around several times. Thank you Irsalina and Holiday Inn.

My husband and I have just spent two lovely nights at the cairns holiday inn. We had a lovely clean spacious room with a glorious view. Great bed and amazing pillows!!! The 20 minute walk into town on the promenade was a good distance for two people in their 70s…… it was very interesting with lots of bird life and diverse interesting mixture of people. A thumbs up to Richard on the front desk. Extremely pleasant and helpful. Thankyou

We spent 6 nights here pre and post diving. The staff on reception and in the bar made this hotel feel welcoming and very friendly. The chap on reception put us in room 602 for our second stay which had a stunning view. Thank you for that lovely gesture. Food in the bar was fine and happy hour was always well attended. However it was surprising that the restaurant was only ope three nights a week. Likewise the pool really needs to be a little warmer. The rooms are a little dated but overall the staff make up for these small issues.

We booked a stay with one night (on the front end of a week) and another day on the tail end of a week of SCUBA diving on a live aboard boat out of Cairns. We travelled to Cairns from Sydney, spent the night and then left some travel bags for SCUBA and returned a week later to retire our bags, dry out some SCUBA gear and prepare for the next leg of our journey. The staff were all super friendly and quite helpful. We spent a few days in Cairns warming up (after sightseeing in Sydney in winter). We walked over 20k steps in and around Cairns and the Holiday Inn is a great place to stay, walk along the harbor, and visit downtown Cairns. It is NOT close to the downtown, but easily walkable. We enjoyed the bar poolside, and they had a delicious selection of wines and small meals. The pool looked super inviting but was too cold for us in July. Rooms we very spacious, both having a king-sized bed, plenty of pillows and a couch and desk. Perfect for us to pack, unpack and repack all our gear between events. The staff helped us out with walking suggestions, including the Botanical Gardens and recommendations for a nearby apothecary. We used both Uber and Taxis and the hotel helped with the latter. All super easy and convenient to and from the Cairns airport. The hotel is on the older side, and she shows some wear and tear, but everything was clean , safe and working properly. …
