The room was quiet with a nice aspect and hotel staff were friendly but the service in the room was not up to scratch. Mentioned this to the front desk after breakfast dishes were not all cleared and table not wiped down. This did not result in improvements... minibar not restocked with water, breakfast cards not replaced, etc and coffee...

Price is always good, always a lot of parking, service good too, good location , near all the fun place and near the airport, slight expensive restaurant is the only downside Other than that, I've almost always pick this hotel, because its the best in Cairns

This hotel is all about location. Close to the airport, without being to close, close to great restaurants, close to the beach and close enough to Cairns centre. We had a double apartment room in the adjacent building with plenty of room for five adults. While the room was slightly 'tired' it was perfect for our needs. Staff were very...

We stayed here as my partner had to go to the Private Hospital and this was nice and close, we had not stayed in Cairns before. We were in a Mountain view room on the 11th floor, amazing views only issue was our room must have been above where the bins are as we had a very strong rubbish smell...

My recent stay at Rydges was during the wet season so prices for the room were very reflective of that. I stayed in the Ocean Front Room 716 which cost me $385.70 for 3 nights (Sat – Mon). I was in Cairns for an event. The organisers had requested group discounts however the "discounted" price offered by Rydges was higher...

Stayed at this property for three nights with my husband and two year old son... had a mountain view room... the room was fairly large, airy, comfy and well appointed with a great view... all the rooms had attached private balconies and rooms on the upper floors had the nicest views... ours was on the 6th floor. Breakfast at the...

We stayed here for 1 night on 2 occasions in a recent week. Both rooms were fine, though the bathrooms are fairly dated. Breakfast was very good. Parking was very convenient, though having to bring luggage up a step from the carpark was not great.

Nice place to stay we have the ocean view room hotel is nice and clean staff friendly and helpful all in all pretty good. Down sides it's not as close to town as I would of hoped still not too bad about 1km to 2km walk depending on where you want to go. Also aircon is ducted so no control...

This is an older property, but many rooms have been revamped and have modern decor. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of a group. It is advertised as a resort hotel. The grounds have some trees and well taken care of plants and an outdoor pool. The bed was very comfortable. The room...

We stayed for two nights.. two nights too many! CONS: Overpriced Feels like youre living in the 80's.. and smells like it too! Breakfast is dismal (long life juices, yucky coffee, lack of fresh fruit, woolworths milk) Customer service is average Old bathrooms Cant sit on the balcony because the railing shields your view (you can stand though) the pools...
