The resort is located a short level walk from town, but also has a paid shuttle service. Bottle shop across the road. Swim up pool bar with coctails available from 11:00am. Onsite coffee shop, staff friendly

Accommodation was not clean and missing key essential daily items. No pool towels, bath mat, face washes, tea towels. Cups, plates and cutlery not washed. Very overprice and under delivered. Only 1 Small TV in a 2 bedroom apartment very poor and was not up to the standard. The best part about this hotel is the pool but bring your own pool towel.

From the moment I arrived, the front office team were happy and always ready to assist! The hotel has a lovely open and airy feel with a great pool area and pool bar. I had a fabulous room with its own balcony which overlooked the pool. My studio had a kitchenette, a full size fridge and two hot plates. Perfect to make lunch or a easy dinner with local produce.

Please AVOID! First off, the bedspread/excuse for a bedspread stunk of dampness and urine. It had stains on it. I was cold and tried calling housekeeping for a clean one, meanwhile I got told that "most of housekeeping quit". The new one smelt too, it wasn't clean. The lamps were mouldy, something easily seen when you turn the light on. Ants crawling in the kitchen (yes it's QLD but still..). When you get out of the shower, expect to have dirty feet because the floors are never cleaned, it would seem. Maybe I will understand when I have my own kids, but parents let their teenagers run wild at this resort, screaming, splashing. The hot tub requires that you sit on the bottom of it, since there wasn't enough water in there to sit on the designated seat. A floating powerade bottle greeted me when I entered the pool and spa area, kinda sums it up. The music is so unbearable like the other reviews say.. from the pool 'bar'. The smell of LYNX Africa hit me right in the face too, the gym overlooking the pool had the worst smell emanating from it - like it had never been cleaned. Why teenage boys can't use deodorant before the gym I do not know. That smell was not a good way to unwind. It wouldn't bother me if it was $100 a night. But $319 was so steep for something so dirty and unkempt. I felt dirty when I left, and my belongings felt dirty. I should have left, but I had no car and no means to go anywhere else last minute. Please, don't take the chance. I won't be staying at another Mantra anywhere else. Stay at the Sea Temple instead.. I don't know why the Accor company put its name to this. PS I know its not individual staff members fault that management is trying to save $$$. It's corporate greed and a slap in the face to all hard working people just trying to enjoy a break.

Swim up bar was great. Room was nice.great view from balcony to the pool. Kitchen could do with a small dishwasher. That would be handy as not much room to do dishes etc. Otherwise room ok. Blankets need washing. A bit smelly as I had to take out of cupboard as I got a little cold

We were really looking forward to our stay at Mantra as we have stayed in other Mantras before but we very extremely disappointed with the Port Sea. The room was old, outdated and dirty. The carpet was ripped and stained and there was mould and stains on the bedside lamps. We had a great view of the pool but as the windows were so dirty we could not see out of them. Unfortunately the tiny bathroom was no better with a dirty shower and broken towel rail. The pool area and bar looked great until we went to get a drink and it too was filthy, with dirty dishes on the bar from the previous day and no clean tables. Sadly the pool/bar staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than serving customers. Sadly won’t be returning to the Mantra Port Sea again.

Staff pleasant, pool dirty small pokey room for the price you pay I would not stay here again nor any Mantra again. Freezer was full of ice due to it not being defrosted in a long time. For +300 plus room one would expect a better place

Mantra Portsea has some good things going for it but it does not compare to the other Mantra's in Port Douglas, We stayed in a two bedroom superior suite and it wasn't great. The living area was tiny, kitchen was tiny, tiny balcony and small bathroom, only one bathroom in a two bedroom suite. The proximity to the beach, the large pool with the bar and good atmosphere saved this hotel. I enjoyed the facilities, but I was not comfortable in the accommodation.
