One thing I really like about Turtle Cove is that every time I go there, I see people from previous times, and it's sort of like a big family. It's another world that I happily step into a few times a year. This was my fifth visit in two years. The owners were up for part of it, and they...

Giving a 5star rating is no whitewash. What this property lacks in spick and span it makes up with lovely staff...a lovely straight/gay friendly owner (with a Gay son) brilliant food with local ingredients and drinks at normal prices...an amazing private beach..an amazing grassed area with the tall coconut palms and rain forest with tall Gums and bird-song.... you can swim...

Thank you for your great comments. And yes we are all you’re saying and more. The owners knew they got a place that is heaven on earth. Their acceptance and love for GLBT people makes it even better. Indeed 5 star is not what we need, it stops you being and doing what you wish for. Great that you noticed...

Thank you for your kind words. My staff are more like friends and their job, they take as a pleasure, to make all our guest just totally relaxed. Our guests hardly ever go out for dinner, because we have it all and for all tastes at the Cove. Keep your heart beat pumping, so we can see you back soon....

I really enjoyed this place. The room was comfy, nothing fancy, but had everything I needed including a big deck with a ocean view. I woke up to the waves crashing on the surf every morning. But the best things about this place is the location and facilities, other guests and the staff. Your in between cairns and port Douglas,...

Thank you for your kind words. And you said it all, we indeed enjoy taking care of our guests, without pushing you to do things you not feel like doing and yet making sure you get all services available. We will never claim or would for that matter, want to be 5 star with all those rules with does and...

Hidden little resort outside of Port Douglas with its own private beach. Highly recommend a beach front room, you literally walk out onto the grass and the beach is right there. The staff is friendly, they arranged all of our tours and excursions. The onsite restaurant is really good with a rotating menu. You may want to rent a car...

Nestled on a private beach in a stunning and totally private location the Turtle Cove is a very comfortable place to stay. It's situated in the Daintree Rain Forest and ideal for doing the Great Barrier Reef. The scenery around is absolutely stunning and the resorts private beach is beautiful. Thanks Paul for you kind words, And yes you are so correct; we would not want to be perceived as a five star resort, as it brings with it all the usual restrictions and rules. We just want all our guests and friends to just feel comfortable, without any rules. And yet, bit by bit we keep upgrading to make...

To escape a bitterly cold winter, we had a wonderful week away in Queensland staying at Turtle Cove. Lovely, peaceful beachside surroundings are managed superbly by Bert and his wonderful crew, to the point where guests feel like family. Other reviewers have mentioned the great service, great food and great secluded location - we agree. We met many interesting and...

This place has a beautiful beach view and feels really nice and secluded. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. It is very relaxing to be able to enjoy the sounds of the ocean from your room deck. There is also ample parking as you will need a car to visit.
