Our second holiday in Port. 5 nights at Newport poolside 1 bedroom apartment. Excellent value for money. It ain't flash but it has everything you need. Close to everything. 2 second walk to Coles. Cafes / restaurants / shops / day spas everywhere & close. WIFI was excellent. Free up to date magazines were a bonus when lounging besides the...

What a great find.... on the Main Street, quiet location at the back of the property, extremely clean and has everything you need. Patrick the manager was most helpful and friendly giving us help or information when needed and nothing was ever too hard. Would definitely return here on our next visit to port Douglas.... love this place.

A great place to stay right in the middle of the main street. So close to Supermarkets across the road if you want to self cater, or right outside your door there is pub grub or fine dining restaurants. The gardens and surrounds are maintained well and very clean, we payed a little more for the top suite so we...

My girlfriend stayed at the Newport on Macrossan for about one week. Overall, the place was great value for what we paid although, admittedly, it was in the low season. I want to hit the highlights of the place first. The location is excellent. You’re right in the middle of Port Douglas, across the street from the supermarket and walking...

Ideal self catering place to stay. Right in the centre of town with secure on site car parking. Beautifully maintain by the owner and his mother. Lovely people. Rooms clean and with everything you could wish in the cupboards. Air con in the bedroom and fans in the sitting room/kitchen. There is a laundry on site. Put the car away...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - excellent suite facilities, immaculately clean and modern. A nice pool, and a bbq to use there if you don't want to cook in the suite. The hotel is on the main street in Port Douglas, within moments walk from a supermarket and several restaurants. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. We...

This was a huge disappointment. Almost the moment we walked into the room we knew we would only stay one night. Terrible room layout, hard bed, stiff cheap pillows and sheets, no phone so we had to walk 3 floors down to office, noisy & inadequate air conditioner, essentially no places to put luggage or other things you travel with,...

We stayed here for two nights in the low season as a quick break away with our baby. This hotel was delightful. Great location in the middle of Port Douglas, but no noise at all from the street so you would never know. The apartment was great. Loads of space , with good places to relax and a great pool....

We spent 9 days here and could not fault it. The location is brilliant, walking distance to everything. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 13 year old son loved the pool, could not get him out. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room 7 is bad. Obviously, no photos of this one on the website. No natural light, pokey and dated furniture and an 'after-thought' ridden, odd lay out makes it feel like a converted pool shed. But the location and price are good. Just avoid rm 7.
