Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights - we got the family room (2 bedroom apartment) and were quite surprised at how big the apartment was. The kitchen was well equipped and bathroom included some basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner & bodywash). Check in and out was fast, and the staff all very friendly. It's about a 5 minute (very...

This hotel/apartment set up would be perfect for a family vacation where you need kitchen access. Great location away from the busy main street; about a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and the wharf. The husband and wife that run the hotel are very helpful with recommendations, arranging transport, etc. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing.

Queenslander Hotel is a family run business. We were made very welcome clean and tidy well maintained. Port Douglas is a quiet friendly place with plenty to see and do. We ventured out on a scuba trip with Quicksilver. Plenty to eat on board 35k trip out to see the coral reef. Worth every penny. The trip north from Cairns...

Had a great 4 night stay at The Queenslander. The property is about a 5 minute walk to the beach end of Macrossan Street and a 7 minute walk to the Marina area. We didn’t spend much time in our room as we were out exploring Port Douglas and the rest of FNQ but we found the room a great...

The accommodation was ideal, the pool was a bit smaller than we thought it would be, as it looked huge in the photos, but nevertheless it was warm and very inviting after a long day. The room had literally everything you needed, washer, drier (perfect for long getaways), coffee machine and dishwasher (which we never used, but still, great to...

Short walking distance to the beach, marina and town, tucked in a cosy place. Nice and quiet place to relax. It will be good if the bedrooms are with air-conditioner and not just ceiling fan. Apart from that, all good and highly recommended.

We stayed two nights in the studio apartment next to the pool. The Queenslander is walking distance to Four Mile beach and the little town of Port Douglas. It faces the bush so, as birdwatchers, we could sit in the small warm pool and watch the birds in the paperbark trees. The hosts are very helpful. The little studio had...

Rosemary and Damien are great hosts. Our unit was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The building and grounds are very well maintained. The pool is great, in a lovely setting including a barbecue area with dining furniture. Will definitely stay there again.

Some features are a little tired, but otherwise everything you could want. Great pool and BBQ area, well equipped and comfortable apartment at a reasonable price. The location is perfect, in a quiet street, five minute walk to netted beach, and main street, couple of minutes more to the wharf area.

The main thing that this place has going for it is it is a 10 minute walk to the beach, the Main Street with restaurants and supermarket and the Marina (where all reef boats depart from). The photo they have on their website is very well done. The pool is much smaller in reality but clean and cold (just what...
