This is a lovely building with lovely rooms that lived up to expectations but that's were it ends it's in between railroad and industrial park no view noise all night , no real outside space other than a wooden bench outside room , we unfortunately arrive here on good Friday not realising the extent of the closure of bars and...

Fantastic hotel, stayed here during the recent storms/floods/cyclone and even though most people in Rockhampton had issues in getting to work this do not stop the hotel from servicing the room, impressive. Very good breakfast. Well worth a stay.

We were recommended by friends. Very reasonable price for what you get. Something like this in sydney would be four times the amount. The reception was fabulous. Parking convenient and close. Shops cafe restaurants all close by and within walking distance. Arrived for an overnight stay and stayed for two nights. We also booked a night for the return trip....

Interesting Hotel ... well run by nice people. Clean, well decorated, and comfortable. Occational train noise but not too bad. Breakfast was great. Parking close by, internet was good. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here overnight on our way North. Fabulous hotel, easy to find, not far from highway, close to restaurants. Beautifully decorated room, felt like we were stepping back in time. A real treasure.

Booked for two nights, after reading some of the reviews, I made sure that I had a room away from the train line... (Should've made it away from the actual road) - but it wasn't that bad. - Try and get a carpark side The rooms are exactly how they are explained / photographed - stunning comfortable, clean and you...

We stayed here on our one night stop in Rockhampton. Quite disappointed to find that the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere next to a train station that has trains running all night long. We had to walk for miles to find somewhere nice to get dinner and didn't sleep well at all. Other than that, the room...

Dear Christy M, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I'm disappointed you did not enjoy your stay at the Denison. The history of our Building built in 1885 is the Queensland Rail Offices, it is unfortunate that the Freight trains disturbed your stay, they are usually short and silent but sometimes older carriages are slightly noisy....

We were so wonderfully surprised with our stay here. It was like stepping back in time. The room ceilings are over 4 meters high, king size comfy bed, small refrigerator, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous gardens, and wonderful staff. We walked 2 blocks down to an Irish Pub for a surprisingly good dinner. Only stayed one night but have already recommended it...

While Rockhampton is probably not on most people's wish-list, to stay, this hotel alone makes it worth a visit. It was built is 1885 and little has changed is its outward appearance. It looks the part, with cast iron balconies, and the rooms are splendid. We had a ground floor room and it took our breath away as we entered...
