Had a 5 night stay for my wife's birthday. The location is great, beach is ALL coral so don't expect soft sand, but this is north Queensland so for those in other countries, it's like saying if you go to Alaska in winter, it'll probably be cold. The water at the beack was crystal clear and the fish were amazing....

Stayed for four days for my wife's birthday. The staff could not have been more courteous. The GM himself went out of his way to assist us with special requests we had. Stayed in an ocean view suite - very spacious, well appointed, and most comfortable, with all mod cons (included full oven and microwave, fridge, etc.). Breakfasts were excellent....

A group of us visited the resort recently and whilst it has heaps of potential, it has been let down by poor maintenance. For example, our room was very musty smelling and took several hours with the aircon to remove the smell. Secondly, the place was infested with cockroaches. I mentioned this to the cleaning staff who seemed to be...

Stayed two nights in one of the ocean view apartments. Very comfortable and well equipped. Island was beautiful: large enough to get away from the crowds along one of the walking tracks, with great snorkelling on the reef. Food options were limited: the resort restaurant was upmarket & pricy while the alternative option (Foxy's bar) was basic pub grub style...

We went for a birthday and had booked the room months in advance when we asked for an ocean view room we were told that we hadn't paid for one. The room we had was dark and we couldn't tell whether it was day or night. When we got to our room all we could smell was mold. There were...

A scenic journey by boat to the island, once on the island it was beautiful. We enjoyed a 3 night stay snorkelling straight from the beach, there was a good variety of fish and turtles, and we found it was just as good as a trip out on a boat. Restaurants were a bit limited, though sufficient for a 3...

The room was comfortable and very clean. We stayed at the far end of the resort which was a good location, close to the beach and the start of the walk up to the lighthouse. The restaurant has a small but interesting menu and there is food available at the beach bar too. The boat trip was comfortable and quick....

We stayed in August and although it rained for about 2 out of our 4 days we still feel like we had an amazing time. The boat time from Cairns is about 45 minutes and is sheltered for quite a lot of the journey. Bearing in mind a large boat full of people all check in together it worked seamlessly...

I stayed in October in a self-contained apartment for 7 days. I had read previous reviews so was wary of ants etc. While there were small ants they were not a nuisance if food was kept up. This was a fantastic apt on the 3rd (top floor). My advice is bring your own food. It may be hard to carry...

Went to Fitzroy island with family and lived in ocean view apartment. The room was great and clean. The only one problem is if you live on the ground floor or level 1,you will hear people walking steps. The price was reasonable if you stay in the week day. The resort restaurant quite expensive and do not expect the quality....
