My husband and I stayed at the Fitzroy island resort for 5 nights, which in our opinion is too long at this resort . Firstly there are only 2 places to eat on the island , one in which one closes when it's not busy enough which leaves you with one choice. Breakfast and dinner at zephys restaurant was nice...

The Island is pretty small overall, and very nice. The resort could definitely be better. The hours are a little odd for many of the restaurants, e.g. lunch between 11-3, Dinner doesn't start until 5. The hours for the swim up bar at the pool were pitiful, 12-4. There didn't really appear to be anybody in charge of the young...

Recently spent 3 days at Fitzroy with my husband and 2 children aged 12 & 16 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We rented a two bedroom ocean suite which was well contained, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is a must at that time of year and each of the bedrooms and the lounge area had a unit that worked well....

I love Fitzroy because it's like a secret treasure, it never seems over crowded like Green Island. Being a national park it's all very natural & not over developed for tourists. There's plenty to do as in water sports, glass bottom boat, snorkelling, kayaks, sea trampoline, I've seen a good variety of beautiful fish & lots of coral. Sadly no...

My partner and I stayed here for 5 days and we were blown away by this place. The staff were absolutely amazing, I never walked past a single staff member that didn't smile and greet me the entire time we were there. There's so much to do at the resort, we struggled to fit all the activities in our stay!...

Visited Fitzroy Island for 2 days at the turn of the year. Loved the boat trip out and blown away by the view of the island when we were coming in. Hotel looked great but there are a few issues. Public toilet areas for reception and other areas were filthy. Assume this may be because some day trippers use the...

The Island is stunning. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to visit if you are in the area; it initially seems like a very good value for money, however…expect to pay for ALL extras. You have to pay for wifi, breakfast (despite the package looking like it included breakfast, don't be fooled by the 'upgrade to...

We just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we stayed two nights on a package deal called Romance on the Reef. It was value for money, as it included a night's accommodation in the Ocean Suite, which also had a kitchenette, lounge etc and views of the ocean. With that we had return boat transfers from Cairns, a three course...

Studio room was as advertised - good if you have no need for a kitchenette or a bath. Not that we spent much time in our room! However our room had a lamp which was taped together. The water was hot and the bed was suitably large. The facilities were satisfactory although the swim-up bar closing at 4pm and the...

Came here for a "getaway from everything" holiday and that's exactly what we got. From arrival we were happy. The facilities were great, room with a view on the top floor, self contained unit - though we chose to be catered for, it is a holiday after all. The snorkelling was amazing and during the 11 nights of stay we...
