As long time Fraser campers this was our first ever resort stay. A great location to end our trip and provided quick access to the lakes before heading home. Kids loved the pool and it was a great temp with lots of shallow parts for beginner swimmers.

Firstly-- to access this resort you require a specialized 4WD vehicle. Do not think you will reach this resort with just any old 4WD. We came upon a couple who were in quite a bad way because they thought their run-of-the-mill 4WD would suffice. Please do your research and rent a vehicle specifically for the driving conditions on this island....

Great place to stay in a wonderful location. The drive in was a bit scary in places but once used to it it was better. Bring plenty of insect repellent, the sandflies are savage - not specific to Eurong but across the island.

This is a remote and Eco-friendly Island, and there is only 1 resort with aircon. Eurong does not have aircon but is still comfortable with fans and sea breezes making the warm nights bearable. The pool is great for wading through to clean the sand off before you re-enter your apartment. The shops are not overpriced as badly as many say,...

Coming from Noosa and the Rainbow beach drive, the resort is conveniently located about a ¼ distance between the Barge crossing at Inskip Point and the northern most point of Sandy Cape. The 60’s built lodges with tile floors concrete block walls appears original. The built in radios from the same era hum without producing a sound. The small flat...

Dear Steevo_usa2014 Having won “Best Budget Accommodation” at the Fraser Coast Tourism Awards held this month, we are very proud to offer island adventurers comfortable, budget friendly accommodation which is located conveniently on the eastern beach so are sorry to hear that our resort was not to your taste. Cheap but tired apartments which are generous in size but very old layout ie the toilet is in the only bathroom, peeling paint on balcony ceilings and plenty of bug. Units need to be fitted with aircondition

This winner for this resort is its location, we only used our room to sleep and shower and spent the rest of the time in the area around eurong. Aircon is considered an extra, it is extremely hot so keep this in mind. The buffet style food is average but at $20 per person is acceptable. Overall if you're like...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Eurong Beach Resort's absolute beachfront position gives easy access to the vast expanse of Fraser Island's famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach. It's an easy drive up the beach to see the mighty sand blows, coloured sands, fast-flowing Eli Creek spilling into the ocean, the Maheno shipwreck, Indian Head and the Champagne Pools. The resort is also centrally placed to visit the southern lakes, which include McKenzie and Wabby, as well as the rainforests around Pile Valley and Central Station. A bakery supplies hot bread, casual snacks and coffee and there is a well-stocked general store. ... more   less
