2 adults and 2 children, The room allotted to us was ground floor and although it was larger than most hotel rooms it had a musty smell. Mattresses were hard and uncompromising almost like sleeping on top of a foam mattress on top of concrete. Staff were pleasant and helpful and breakfast included in our rate was fantastic however the...

I think the best advice I can give to anyone wanting to book a stay at green island resort is to stay for just a couple nights. The island itself is beautiful but the resort itself is a bit irritating with some minor flaws that end up really bothering you by the end of your stay. Pros: snorkeling is great...

A fantastic eco resort only 45 minutes ferry ride from Cairns. Very comfortable rooms regularly serviced by lovely housekeeping staff. Food superb - breakfasts plentiful and delicious. We tried the picnic hamper on the beach one night and that was first class too. I've seen a lot of criticism about the day trippers, but it is what it is and...

Despite all the negative reviews I read about a day trip to green island we had a fantastic day.The snorkeling was great with easy beach access for my six year old, just make sure you venture out a bit further as there is an abundance of fish and corals(yes some has been bleached). We even managed to see a couple of...

We travelled to Green island for a 6 night indulgence from Luxury Escapes. It was a delightful time. The rooms are stunning and generously laid out. Many hundreds of visitors come to the island for the day but cannot enter the hotel area which is more inland. The island is tiny but interesting with boardwalks and many little beaches. The...

We booked a 6 night, 7 day package at the resort for a 'recharge' after a very busy and stressful few months. We were a bit concerned that our 11 year old might find it a bit boring, but there was plenty to keep all of us busy every day. Sure, during the day there are lots of day visitors...

This resort was absolutely gorgeous! Great for a short trip away; we had three nights which was perfect to get to do everything we wanted (any more and due to the size, I felt it might get a bit boring). Island guests are really treated like VIP's from the time you check in at the ferry terminal at Cairns and...

We spent 8 days at the resort with our 11 year old daughter. The room was very comfortable and the service was excellent. Our daughter looked forward to the nightly fish feeding on the jetty and the nature walks. The snorkeling was wonderful and having free access to the beach chairs/umbrellas, sea kayaks and windsurfers was great too. Daily buffet...

It's hard to give a positive review of green island because of what the island is like between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm, that's when the last day visitors boat leaves. During the day the island is full of rude, loud, ignorant, selfie stick waving tourists that have zero decency and zero respect for the island. Once the visitors...

We stayed for two nights for the first time over the Easter school holidays. Feels very similar in terms of activities to Heron Island and the island is probably slightly smaller in size. There are signs up everywhere saying don't swim apart from the patrolled beach, however we found the snorkeling there was not very good. The best place was...
