We stayed for a week at the Green Island Resort, a unique coral cay in the Barrier Reef system, covered in verdant tropical rain forest (devoid of scary predators and parasites). The Reef Suite was a beautiful room, with good amenities, a competent A/C system, plenty of room, and a verandah surrounded by lush rain forest foliage. A good supply...

This resort is the only hotel on this tiny little gem of an island. The island can be walked around in total in about 45 minutes. They have a wonderful little rain forest walk and great snorkeling. The hotel rooms are lovely and they have a hidden little pool for guests only. There is only one restaurant and options can...

We took the ferry over and had a full 2 days / 1 night at Green Island resort. The nature walks were very interesting. The sea turtles was fun to watch. Great snorkeling. Wifi not great, but OK We also took a helicopter tour of the Great Barrier Reef. It was pricey, but interesting. I think that they would get...

My wife and I and another couple went in January 2017. Snorkelling off the beach was great water clear and heaps of fish. Staff very helpful. Room was spacious bed was very comfortable nice bathroom. Trip to the reef was a highlight of the holiday. Day visitors didn't really bother us late afternoon drinks and fish feeding off the jetty...

The room we booked for an overnight stay included transfers for my husband and I and 2 grandchildren, breakfast for us all and most activities on the island. The room was clean and well appointed, and staff friendly and helpful. The only "extras" were for lunch and dinner. Conditions at the time of our visit weren't optimum for seeing the...

This is really a tale of two resorts, more than anything. It should be known that there is the private resort - which is a secluded, calm, bundalow style retreat build on top of a floating boardwalk right inside the rainforest. The abundance of trees and plants as well as very solid buildings insulate a lot of the noise from...

My family traveled here on Christmas Eve with plans to stay for one night and scatter my father's ashes during our stay as he lived on the island as a child. We originally had planned to have three of us travel over on the 1pm ferry and for the other three guests to bring our own boat over from the...

Green island island is wonderful when the day trippers go home! Before the it is over crowded and looses it's charm, but when the lady boat leaves and there are only hotel guests left it is heavenly, hotel was beautiful, we stayed one night to get 2 dives in. Restaurant lacks atmosphere but food couldn't be faulted.

The island is an hour long ferry ride out from the coast, but even the ferry has great service. Besides the refreshment bar on the ship that even serves ice cream, the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help you make different activity reservations while on the island, such as parasailing, scuba trips, and helicopter rides. You can visit...
