Having just returned from a week on this fantastic tiny coral cay off Cairns I can thoroughly recommend the Green Island Resort. Large comfortable rooms in a well maintained resort that pays attention to detail not seen in most 5 star establishments eg: the nightly turn down service with chocolates. The restaurant serves a really good buffet breakfast, nice variety...

Great snorkelling for all skill levels, with an abundance of fish varieties, lots of turtles, reef sharks and good coral colours. Absolutely beautiful sunsets, friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Very relaxing, family friendly.

Room lived up to the pictures online! It was absolutely beautiful. While the island hustles and bustles during the day with tourists, once the last ferry leaves..the quiet is resounding! It is like a country town whose "sidewalks roll-up at 4:30 pm." All that is left are staff and the guests, for us in this off-season, that was around 70...

Staying at the Green island resort was amazing. The room was fantastic, ( a great bed) breakfast was included, as was all the snorkelling gear, beach umbrellas, glass bottom boat tour, windsurfing, and of course the ferry from and to Cairns. The staff were very friendly too. Overall defenitely somewhere to go back to and recommend!

The island was busy during the day but very tranquil when the day trippers had gone. The accommodation was good, the dinner excellent and the various free nature tours on offer were very interesting. A very good place for a night or two - I'm not sure we would have wanted to stay longer.

We stayed for a week at the Green Island Resort, a unique coral cay in the Barrier Reef system, covered in verdant tropical rain forest (devoid of scary predators and parasites). The Reef Suite was a beautiful room, with good amenities, a competent A/C system, plenty of room, and a verandah surrounded by lush rain forest foliage. A good supply...
