Nothing short of superb! We have stayed in many Sofitel’s throughout the world and this one is right up there with one of the best. The staff were all very attentive and our room was clean, stylish and met all of our expectations. The club was exceptional and put the proverbial icing on our stay. We’ll certainly be back and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Adelaide.

Stayed three nights and was blown away by the quality of the Sofitel Adelaide. Upgraded to a luxury room with Club Access which was a great decision. The room on the 23 floor was spacious and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable king bed, coffee machine and a bath in the middle of the room! Loved visiting the Club for afternoon tea which was presented as a high tea each day while the free drinks and nibbles from 5:00 pm were a perfect way to begin a night out. The bar buns were to die for! The breakfast service each morning in the restaurant was a highlight with omelettes and eggs cooked to order and fresh specialty coffees included. They even provided a take away coffee as you headed out the door to start your day. However it is the staff who make the experience so good. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to be helpful and nothing is ever a bother. Our special thanks to Dhanuka who always went out of his way to make sure we were okay. However to all the serving staff in the restaurant I say a big thank you....they are a credit to the organisation. I would highly recommend a visit. P.S. Just a message to the reservation team.....lift your game! This was booked through luxury escapes but the Reservation Team seemed to have an issue with this. I received an email before the visit offering me the chance to purchase an upgrade to include breakfast. When I responded to explain I had already paid for an upgrade to include breakfast AND Club access they apologised. But when we checked in they did NOT include these things. I again showed them the booking but he acted like he had never heard of this so he went away to check. After an anxious wait he came back to say that it was correct. BUT when we came back to get the room cards they STILL did not allow Club access so we had to ask again and wait for it to be confirmed AGAIN!

Room (and all the hotel) decor was very nice and felt "designed". Fantastic views over city to sea (especially at night) and while eating dinner at the restaurant which we enjoyed very much. A welcome drink at the ground floor bar was a quiet space to watch the busy street outside. Staff were attentive and pleasant (especially the doorman who helped us with our baggage from our car). Everything was great.

Amazing anniversary stay, from the moment we checked in... Staff friendly, service amazing, rooms fabulous, bed comfortable, great coffee machine... Just a pity it was cloudy as we couldn't see the sunset.. Highly recommend the Champagne bar and the restaurant upstairs.. Looking forward to coming back real soon..

My husband and I have just had the pleasure of a wonderful three night stay at the Sofitel. It is truly a beautiful hotel. We opted for a beautiful suite in the 23rd floor. Loads of room, well equipped bathroom with a Dyson hairdryer, comfortable bed and spacious loung area. We utilised the fabulous Club Millesime for breakfast and afternoon tea. Very quiet, no screaming children and excellent and professional staff. We also dined in the French Restaurant- Garçon Bleu which was sensational. Close by we also dined at Shobosha which was about a 4 minute walk away and Osteria Oggi which was a 10 minute walk - both excellent restaurants. Whilst my husband was attending his conference I walked the city - Rundle Mall and the Central Market. Adelaide is a very easy city to walk around and the Sofitel is very well situated. If I could give this hotel six stars I would.

The hotel is new and the in small ways it shows. The interior decor is garish and approaches to the building are tight and unattractive. For 4 days the internet in our room was hopeless. Ten years ago that was forgivable today it’s not acceptable. For a French operated hotel many of the food portions are huge and crude resulting often in wasted food.

Very nice hotel! Superb views from the upper floors, excellent service from attendtive staff and a lovely opulent room with all the mod cons and features expected of a 5 star hotel. I especially liked the tablet computer by the bedside which is used as an alarm clock and provides all the hotel info and also allows you to order food and services to your room. Small quibbles include a shower head that had surprisingly weak pressure (which is odd for a hotel than was opened less than 12 months ago) and the water leaked out of the shower into the bathroom area (seems to be a poor design). And no slippers (perhaps in an effort to reduce waste?). Also, I wish they provided a decent-sized desk where one can do some work, rather than a tiny round table which really isn't practical. Perhaps 4.8 stars due to the small quibbles, if not, would have been easily 5 stars!

Having stayed at a number of Sofitel hotels, we were keen to try the Sofitel in Adelaide and we were not disappointed. A warm welcome when we arrived, and our room was available even though we arrived “early”. Our room was spacious, clean, bright and airy and with fantastic views towards the gulf. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open on the nights we were in Adelaide. Next visit we will ensure to be there on days it is open. Breakfast at Club Millesime was limited but more than we needed.

Bonjour Schlepper1939, Thank you for your continued loyalty to Sofitel and for taking the time to share your feedback. I am delighted that you enjoyed your experience with us. Currently, Garçon Bleu is closed on Monday and Tuesday nights. There are other dining options available, however I understand the disappointment. We look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit and strongly encourage making a booking should you wish to dine in Garçon Bleu for dinner. Merci, Tom Christiansen Director of Rooms

We stayed for 2 nights on the Club Floor. Sarab Sandhu the manager of the Club Floor was wonderful he made us and everyone there feel special. He was friendly, professional and made our stay so very memorable. All the staff on the Club Floor were exceptionally friendly and professional. Reception staff were also lovely. A couple of not so positive comments are that the hot food at breakfast in the restaurant was not hot but quite cold and I am not a fan of no doors on the cupboards. The decor of the hotel and room are beautiful.

My wife and I stayed at Sofitel Adelaide for just a night, but we wish we were able to stay there for a week! It is an exceptionally good hotel, the magnificent room we had was large, and every single staff member we came in contact with offered excellent service, always with a smile. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and all staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. A truly great hotel!
