My wife and I stayed at the Chifley this week and we found our room clean and quiet with a lovely view over the Adelaide parklands. it is a good old hotel and has that good old fashioned feel. The price is great in comparison with other Adelaide hotels and free parking makes it a good place to stay.

I understand the principle of supply and demand, and I know that there are cities with more accommodation than Adelaide, but to ever consider charging nearly $200 for a night at this hotel is an absolute joke! Absolutely nothing against the staff, my only interaction was with reception and they were charming, but the standard of the room was so...

We stayed here one night before we went on the Ghan to Darwin. Clean good sized rooms in refurbished older hotel in central position opposite parkland. No WIFI and the lifts are bone jolting and dangerous to the elderly.

Unfortunately one of the worst nights I've spent in a hotel, it's currently 11:10pm, I have a 6am flight and I just heard someone walk down the hallway and groan. The noises started around 9:30, which seems to be the time everyone wanted to start walking in and out of their rooms and not considering the slamming door behind them....

This place is not cool retro, it's nobody did anything to it since it was built shabby. The cleaners do their best to keep it in the best shape they can, and they do a good job (in fact all the staff are great), but there's nothing they can do to counteract the neglect. Believe the hype about the lift....

We recently stayed at the Chifley as it was only a short walk to the Pavilion where we attended a wedding. The swimming pool was excellent and our room was spacious with mini bar. The only downside was Wi-Fi was not installed yet ( it will be now) and we had to go to the hotel down the road for hot...

Just give yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. Old building, really bad bed, showers and taps make high pitch noise when turn the tap to hot water. Location although in the CBD is really not near anything. Need to catch a tram to be able to get to the town centre. Lift is almost an antique and sounds suggests...

It is located in a great location. Short walk city centre and trams. How ever the whole place is very run down. Needs a lot of money spent on it. Rooms very clean. Bed nice. Walls very thin. Could even here next door yawning. If your after a mid range hotel that is not a backpackers then it is fine.

I'm not usually that critical about hotels since most of them are similar but, unfortunately, I found this hotel to be very underwhelming. I was staying there for a business meeting and when I arrived I was dismayed to find that there was no wifi available in the hotel - it was suggested I could go and sit in the...
