I think time is almost up for this old girl. Seems she will either be pulled down or a complete refurb will be done. It looks like they have not spent any money on her in the two years since our last visit. Don't get me wrong, she is very clean and the staff are very good, she just looks...

I rated this hotel poor, but not for the reasons most other reviewers have highlighted. I would have liked to rate somewhere between poor and average really. We were put off a bit by other negative reviews but were pleasantly surprised by the state of the hotel and rooms. Maybe they've ramped up the cleaning regime. Everything was clean and...

Our extended family group of 7 adults, stayed for 5 nights having a very enjoyable break. It's not fancy but it's clean, staff are all friendly, great location opposite a park with children friendly play areas. Great for a family with little ones. It's a short walk to the tram and bus services, which was an easy walk for my...

I came by myself for a 5 night R&R & had a great time. I was very pleased with my room & pool area. Staff at Reception were extremely helpful& friendly. The only criticism I have is the walls are so thin that I could hear the person next door peeing lol. The elevator was the highlight of my stay...

My husband and I were both very impressed with the atmosphere, the staff and the cleanliness of all areas of the Chifley. During our stay we encountered at least 4 different reception staff and found each one of them to be welcoming, pleasant & helpful. We found that our room was very quiet & close to the lift (which is...

Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights. Service at the reception was great and receptionist was able to help us with all our queries. We stayed on level 3 overlooking the pool. Bed is clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is also conveniently located near to many eateries and only a 15 minutes drive to Adelaide Central Market....

Room is great however cleaning staff left our room door wide open all day after servicing. Pool was unavailable for stay and we were never advised by staff this would be the case. Staff tried to charge parking fees even though booking included free parking.

The hotel is located near the South terrace the centre of the city would be around 20 mins walk . It's a good location where everything is near . The car parking was free but not now it's only 2 dollars per day which is still pretty good unlike other hotels who charge you so much around Adelaide. The hotel...

My wife and I stayed at the Chifley this week and we found our room clean and quiet with a lovely view over the Adelaide parklands. it is a good old hotel and has that good old fashioned feel. The price is great in comparison with other Adelaide hotels and free parking makes it a good place to stay.

I understand the principle of supply and demand, and I know that there are cities with more accommodation than Adelaide, but to ever consider charging nearly $200 for a night at this hotel is an absolute joke! Absolutely nothing against the staff, my only interaction was with reception and they were charming, but the standard of the room was so...
