My corporate travel allowance lets me stay in (somewhat) pricier places, but I chose to stay here because I knew from a previous stay that it's reliable, and that's exactly what I want when I travel for business (I'm never bothered by a room being small so long as it's perfectly clean and everything works). If you book your room at the corporate rate, you can get the corporate rate on breakfast - Ibis breakfast is good value even at the full $30, at $20 it's a steal!
I stayed at the Ibis Hotel for 3 nights altogether. It is central and enabled us to walk everywhere. The restaurant is great with very friendly staff. I wish the rooms were a bit bigger as we felt very cramped in them, but they were clean and comfortable.
I was originally going to book the Sofitel Adelaide before I read the consistently good reviews for the Ibis Adelaide, and I don't regret my decision. Like most Ibis hotels, the focus is on the basics and there are not the usual (often unnecessary) frills offered by 5 star hotels. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, and the room was simple, modern and clean and was meticulously maintained. Whilst the room was compact, it met my needs perfectly. I liked the practical design of the room which left plenty of room to do some work in my room (unlike some hotels which don't even provide a decent desk). The only tip is don't get a room near the lifts if you can avoid it. I could hear people using the vending machine which was just outside the lifts, and there were silly people slamming doors, but these are not the fault of the hotel. Location-wise, it's within walking distance of Rundle Mall, Adelaide Central Market and heaps of nice restaurants and cafes. Perfect! All in all, excellent value for money and a clean and modern place to stay. Highly recommended for your stay in Adelaide!…
Central hotel near the mall in the cbd area , allowing you to do lots of shopping and eating for the weekend we spent there. Booking process and check in was smooth and price was very competitive. The room was not large but normal for Ibis , and had all the amenities you require. Breakfast was included and was buffet, top choices available.
The hotel has everything I required for my stay. Wifi, bar/restaurant & gym. The room didn’t have much storage space but it was a big enough & the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure & temp in the shower was most enjoyable.
Obviously got a very thin wall, I can hear my neighbour's activity easily, included shower/go to toilet, phone rings etc, and of course I easily hear noise from the street with window closed. Wayyyyyy too noisy, need serious improvement on sound proof
As Ibis, the rooms are small and compact but are nice and clean and hotel still fairly new. Had a great view of hills etc from my top floor - although most was hidden in fog the next morning! not usual though. They have now changed amenities to a one bottle does everything from face/body/hair etc. lucky i was only staying one night as im not sure I would have trusted that product to wash and condition my hair as I did not bring my own. I loved the little welcome note and chocs, nice touch. Staff friendly and helpful and as usual a great breakfast buffet. Have stayed a number of times before, but unfortunately its getting quite expensive now so in future I might have to consider a cheaper option. I actually did check a few dates in future and most at around $100 more than what I paid this time. …
Ibis offered great accommodation which was clean and tidy and serviced everyday, recommend it to stay again. Close to town and easy to locate shops and eateries in Rundle street and surrounds. Walking distance to most areas.
The hotel room was relatively bigger than the typical Ibis rooms. The working table was nicely positioned against the window with a nice view of the city and hills. The working chair was better the typical. The room had a power outlet on each side of the bed - and that’s exactly how I like it. There was a Smart TV in the room but it only gets smart with a Samsung mobile phone. It had all the local channels and a wide range of movie options - for free! The hotel is nicely located a block away from Rundle Mall. So dining and shooing options are minutes away.
This is our go to hotel in Adelaide. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet and it's great to have a view of the city and the Adelaide hills. We thought the buffet breakfast was delicious, happy hour is good value in the evening and there is a good choice of food at the restaurant. The staff are friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our room upgrade. We will definitely stay here again when we're next in Adelaide.
