Fantastic hotel with a fantastic vue over the city, but without restaurant and eating facilities - if they were, it would be just fantastic, first class, because Coober Pedy has nothing, absolutely nothing.

Coober Pedy is fascinating but definitely not an attractive place - basically a few shops and houses scattered amongst mines and mine tailings. Pulling into the carpark of the Lookout Cave and you wonder what you have come to. Bleak, dusty, barren yet walk through the doors and your welcome is warm and immediately the intrigue levels rise. The room...

First time in Coober Pedy and what a place to pick to stay. Sometimes picking things from photos can be risky and normally I would read up reviews however I didn't do it on this occasion and we were a tad worried while we were driving up from Victoria. Boy! Our worries were put on the back burner when we...

I'll be honest - the approach to this motel is not pretty. It's fairly discouraging actually. But once inside, the service, facilities, location and general atmosphere is well worth the effort. Climb the hill above the motel and look forward to one of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see. Loved it.

They have done a great job of renovation. Well presented. Very clean and tidy throughout. The amenities had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The management and staff were extremely helpful with suggestions about things to see and do in and around Coober Pedy. We had one of the Miners Dugout Suites as our accommodation. Very pleasant temperature...

Just loved Coober Pedy and the Lookout Cave Underground Motel. It was a unique experience. The motel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were basic (3star) but suitable for the location and experience. The location was just off the main thoroughfare and an easy walk to all the shops and eateries.

My girls and i stayed here for one night on our way back to Murray Bridge. We didn't get a chance to pre-book, but the people there were lovely and we got to stay. They showed us the room first to see if we liked it, that i thought was a great idea. The owners were fantastic, very friendly and...

The Lookout Cave is a comfortable and unusual way to spend time in Coober Pedy. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, advice and assistance was forthcoming without hesitation. Room was very clean and comfortable, some great nights sleep were had. Take a walk up to the top of the hill from the stairs in the carpark for...

Stayed here for 2 nights in mid September. Weather was very cold in town but the accommodation was warm. Facilities in the room were excellent and the sleeping experience was strange indeed- pitch black and eerily quiet. One thing to remember is that, with the rooms being underground, venting is necessary via fans in the room. Price was coverup reasonable...
