I stayed here twice as part of a driving holiday to Alice Springs. I had booked a deep underground room, but the manager at check in, taking pity on me for my grey hair and numerous wrinkles, saved me a lot of nocturnal wandering; he put me in a just underground room near the shared toilet and showers. There is...

I love Coober Pedy it's a very interesting place the history of this mining town is amazing and to stay in an underground motel is a fantastic experience I have stayed here twice this trip on my way to the Kimberley and back, there are two part's to this motel the cheaper section has a backpacker's dorm and private room...

Really enjoyed our stay in coober pedy, stayed in a budget room which was 85 a night so a little more than a dorm (for a couple) It was well worth it, room was basic but decent. Staff were excellent, really helpful and printed and scanned stuff for me free of charge. The dorms we seen were a little dated...

We spent the night underground after a looong days drive from Uluru. Very well greeted upon check in and was told all about the place, as well as good dining nearby (John's Pizza which was very good). Ice cold beer and ciders at the bar served up by same pleasant gent that checked us in. Motel neat and clean. Basic...

We arrived in Coober Pedy around midday and were greeted by lovely reception staff. It was our first time and we were given a lot of information on what to do which we found very helpful. The rooms were pretty cool, comfy beds, clean facilities and being underground was a new experience. whilst reading other reviews there seems to be...

We were disappointed that it wasn't really underground. The effects just looked tacky and echoed every single surrounding noise. We heard every conversation and every door closing. However the bathroom was clean. The bed was clean and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. Needs new beds and pillows but in Coober Pedy you can't be too fussy.

Everything in the outback is more expensive than it should be. This place is a good example! Obviously there are no doors on the rooms so it can be VERY hard to sleep. Wifi turned off at 10pm. Showers and cooking facilities were good. It's a place to stop for a night, maybe two at a push. I think there...

Coober Pedy's famed underground lodging! This place is rather decent, just that due to the underground nature, this is no phone signals in the rooms and the Wi-Fi is in the reception building only. The underground building structure and decorations/posters on the wall are all quite worth exploring. Those reflect the area's history and industry, and look fabulous. The kitchen...

To sleep under the ground is a special experience. The sleeping room are nice and tidy, but very less privacy. All the sleeping facilities are open and connected to each other what makes it noisy and hard to sleep proper.
