Unobtrusively sitting on top of a cliff facing the Southern Ocean, with Antarctica only some 3000 km due South, the Southern Ocean Lodge is luxurious and indulgent. The modern architecture of the building is as striking as it is inviting. The large wall size windows of the reception, great room and restaurant areas allow the visitor to drink in the stunning views...

You are greeted at the airport for a 50 minute drive to the Lodge. When you enter the big double doors you are blown away by the views out of the Great Room. You are then given a suggested timetable for your length of stay that encompasses many of the highlights on KI. The rooms and staff are just plain...

A warm welcome awaits as you enter the Great Room with a 180 degree view....just spectacular....turquoise water, crashing waves, an extensive coastline and tasteful decor. Nothing is a bother to the friendly staff who are so attentive and eager to please. Food is excellent, chefs cater for dietary needs, the bar...

This was visit number seven for us and the experience was just as good as the first time we came. From the moment we were greeted upon arrival to our early morning departure we felt we were treated as special guests ( as I'm sure we're all the other guests). The meals and room met all expectations but it was...

There are few places that look better in real life than in travel brochures. This is one of them. The location is simply amazing. About an hour from airport. As is the Lodge design, both the fining and communal areas and the rooms. All rooms have stunning ocean views, spacious layouts, really comfy beds and high quality fittings. Good range...
