This place so far is best lodge i have ever stayed. The service and the staff is simply unbelievable. The view during day and evening time is spectacular. We stayed in osprey pavilion which is suppose to be the best room in the lodge. you can spend hours and hours looking at the view(waves) and the best the itinerary made...

From the moment we were met at the airport by a bubbly Jess we knew we were in for a lovely break. Once arriving at the Lodge the view is breathtaking, the rooms luxurious, the staff attentive but the FOOD!!! Wow breakfast lunch and dinner was a treat! Fresh local produce coupled with delicious local wines really made our stay......

Dear LisaB1968 Firstly, a huge thank you for your fantastic review! We are delighted that you enjoyed the lodge location and myriad thoughtful touches in-suite, our locally procured (delicious!) cuisine, the diversity of activities and lastly, the warmth and passion of our staff. As you have experienced, our people are what keep our friends returning for more. Your comments have...

We stayed a week indulging in amazing food and wines for the Kangaroo Island Food Safari 2016 at Southern Ocean Lodge in August. The overall experience was nothing short of amazing. From the time of our collection at Kingscote Airport in the very comfortable Mercedes 12 seater mini buses to our return a week later we could not have asked...

Southern Ocean Lodge is stunning! We traveled there as a family of four in August (their winter). I was very nervous about this leg of our trip as it required quite a bit of extra effort to get there and was very costly. But....I'm so glad we did it and it was for me, the highlight of our trip! First,...

The location was the highlight, however, the rooms were disappointing in many ways other than the view. The wardrobe area was cramped and our room had no bath which we had missed in the description of the room but at this level assumed there would be one. Perhaps it was an oversight on our part but nevertheless we were under...

Dear Caoimhe R Your review is naturally very disappointing to read and we appreciate the opportunity to have been able to address your concerns in our direct correspondence. This is our second visit - we loved it so much the first time that we came back. The food was great before, but now it is incredible. Inspired use of local and notice ingredients really showcases the wonderful produce. Every meal was memorable. All the rooms look onto the ocean, so they have fantastic views. We stayed in an...

This was the third and final Luxury Lodges of Australia property we booked over a month long tour of the country. We stayed for four nights and that provided us ample time to do all of the complimentary activities as well as a few bespoke experiences. A four night stay is perfect; anything less and you may not have the...

We had a fantastic drive across the Nullarbor from Perth but staying at typical motels (although all were very clean and efficient). After a few wonderful days in the Clare valley (Thorn Park Luxury B&B) we headed to this architectural wonder perched on the rugged southern ocean cliffs on KI. Expansive contemporary luxury inside. Full, help yourself bar (try new...

The lodge exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The organic feel and design of the building has to be commended in really blending in with the natural environment. The natural beauty and secluded nature of the lodge provides the opportunity to really relax.. Something that we seldom do these days! Personally walking along the rugged cliff tops, taking in...

We were lucky enough to participate in the 2016 KI Food Safari with James Viles from Biota Dining and the inimitable Maggie Beer. From the pick up at the airport on day 1 to the drop off (reluctantly) on day 7 we were incredibly well looked after. The program was action packed but it was entirely at our discretion what...
