Comfortable and friendly. Lots of habitat nearby for hiking and birding. Excellent restaurant close by. Lodging includes both cabins and bunk rooms. Caretakers were exceptionally friendly and helpful when I needed to get connected to the local phone system which turned out to be so tricky when you are not local!

We stayed here recently the cabin was clean and had plenty of storage. I didnt give this place a higher rating due to inadequate heating. Absolutely freezing! The staff were lovely but i thought $150 was quite steep considering how cold the cabin was, the heater doesn't have a fan and does not suit the conditions.

Went to the Old Black Stump Restaraunt on a Saturday and it was amazing! Great service, beautiful food! The Restaraunt is in the Gowrie Park Wilderness Village and is worth visiting even if you're only passing through! :) 10/10 will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone

We brought our 8M caravan to Gowrie Park village and stayed 2 weeks. The park is set at the base of Mt Roland, and handy for doing day trips out of here. The Park also has cabins, backpacker accommodation, and a separate restaurant. The owners are very helpful and modernising the place. From the park, you can do the walks...

Nothing fancy about this place, but it was a brilliant stay! We stayed in our campervan and loved being so close to the national park. The bathrooms were very clean and well equipped. The staff were extremely friendly, and we made use of their fire pots for rent which gave us some much needed warmth and a chance to sit...

I stayed in a cabin for 4 nights and loved it. Woke each morning to a mountain view from my deck - beautiful! Cabins are spacious and well equipped. Also good heating (important in Tasmania). Just a half hour drive to Cradle Mountain from here - a must do! BYO water. The water is not drinkable.

We stayed in one of Gowrie Park's on site cabins for three nights. The rest of our family camped on a patch of ground near our cabin. There were fine views of Mount Roland although the camping site itself looked a bit scruffy with a few tips of rubble around, which could have been easily cleared away. The cabin was...

I stayed at Gowrie Park Village for two nights. It is a great place to leave city life behind for some time. The wallabies come out at sunset and on the mountains around you can see echidnas. The manager was lovely and asured us that we did not have to fear the bushfires that were burning some 40 kilometers away....

We stayed at Gowrie Park in order to be close to Cradle Mountain. The camp facilities were great - very clean bathrooms/showers; bbq + kitchen facilities; some pademelons roaming around near our tents :) Highly recommend!
