This hotel was great value for money and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is good, within walking distance to the wharf and Salamanca Place where all the good restaurants are. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious.

This hotel deserve its review status. The rooms are quiet due to double glazing and thoughtful positioning of the lift, the beds very comfortable, and the staff extremely helpful. It is a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the memorial gardens. The breakfast, while not gourmet, is plentiful and great value.

We spent two nights, room with comfortable king size bed, reasonable value for money views from the seventh floor quite nice. Reception quite busy would not answer phone calls from my room Service in the small restaurants average, run out of food for dinner in my second night, recommend to go early

A one night stay for a family of four. We arrived late and were welcomed by a friendly helpful staff member. Our room was a corner room with lovely views. Everything was very clean and well equipped. The prices of the mini bar products were very reasonable.

We spent 5 days here in November 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious, well equipped and spotless and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The best feature was the excellent quality and great value meals to be had in the small restaurant - cooked/continental breakfast for $11.80 and soup + salad + main + dessert all... More

We stayed at the Fountainside in December, 2013 and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is convenient to the downtown area and has a very nice, modestly-priced restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. The hotel is very clean, modern, and well equipped. Our room was roomy and very clean. The hotel is equipped for wifi and has a plenty of... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights just a couple of weeks ago. She had stayed here for work, years ago, when it was a "Travelodge". Since then the hotel has undergone a huge makeover. A complete and total going over. The most important change being that the old external passageways are now enclosed and fully weather resistant.... More

This hotel is a little gem offering good clean spacious rooms (we stayed in a Superior King) which are very comfortable and reasonably priced. As other reviewers have stated, the mini bar prices are the best of anywhere you'll stay! The location is good with relatively flat walks to the CBD & waterfront. Whilst adjacent to a busy arterial road... More
