My wife and I enjoyed all aspects of this beautiful facility. The main plus of this amazing 'Blast from the Past' was the professional service that Jeff and Julie offered. Nothing was too much. The little things like the reading room with port and chocolates and the super breakfast made our anniversary stay very memorable. Everybody seemed to be enjoying...

We had a tricky start to our stay in Hobart with our first reservation not working out. We booked The Lodge at the last minute. The host Jeff was absolutely lovely. He was very hospitable helping us with several inquiries and offering some tips about seeing Hobart such as ' book MONA.' The room was very clean and comfortable.

Great hosting by Jeff and Julie. Jeff is a don't of knowledge if you have any questions or want ideas about places to visit. The rooms are a decent size and it's a lovely historic property. Good continental breakfast too. It's about a five- ten minute walk to the harbour front and the Lodge is surrounded by stacks of lovely...

Built in 1829 as the Melbourne Lodge it's a beautiful place. Full of character, bright rooms and a nice dining area and a separate lounge with tea facilities and maybe a glass of port. Lovely garden sheltered and colourful with seating in the sun. Jeff and Julie are perfect hosts and very helpful. Breakfast is continental with loads of choices....

The lodge is centrally located and a beautiful, historic old house. It's full of antiques and a really lovely secret garden. Breakfast was very nice, the spa room was worth the extra. Jeff was great about giving us information on all the attractions and steered us the the farmers/artjst market on Saturday, which was huge and a lot of fun!

This is grand accommodation in a great location for eating and generally exploring Hobart city, CBD, Waterfront and Salamanca Markets. There are numerous restaurants withing 5 minutes walking distance from The Lodge and those we chose were top class in terms of service and culinary offerings at a very reasonable price. For Italian try Amici in Elizabeth Street ...Brilliant. Jeff...

We ended our Tasmania trip in Hobart. The Lodge on Elizabeth building dates back to the early days of Hobart. While in the city there was no problem finding on-street parking. The courtyard is a site to behold. While there was quite a bit of street noise during the day, at nightfall it went away. Their lounge was spacious and...

The Lodge on Elizabeth is a beautiful, classic 1800's building, restored and in a convenient position. The rooms were very spacious, and offered all conveniences. The Hosts were very friendly, provided good information on Hobart and nearby restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, and very fresh food. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting...

This was the first hotel we stopped at when arriving in Hobart Tasmainia. We also went to Strahan, Cradle Mountain, Launceston and Freycient. The Lodge is an excellent B&B or should I say Hotel. Excellent accommodation, the management were caring and had a great Cellar. I would recommend this place as a top choice. David Reynolds (dej.reynolds@me.com)
