Spent a pleasurable ten days in Hobart Tasmania enjoying the fabulous food and wine the state has to offer. Stay was more pleasurable by basing ourselves at Salamanca Terraces apartments. Two bed room apartment was airy, spotless and extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is now my place of choice in Hobart. Attached to the historic Lenna hotel...

We stayed at Salamanca Terraces for 3 nights. Our apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable (not luxurious) with limited views, but included parking. We would definitely consider staying again if in Hobart.

Upon check in, if they allocate you room 310, then just plain refuse!!! The apartment faced a carpark, and a main thoroughfare walkway right outside your windows/balcony doors. Was very noisy, and had to keep the blinds permanently closed, as people would just stare right inside as they walked past. Extremely overpriced for the experience, but was the best I...

The studio apartment was clean and comfortable, but through an adjoining door I could hear next doors television quite clearly into the late hours. Also it was made clear to me at the time of booking that I would have to walk up the hill from the apartments to the Lenna hotel to check in.

We stayed for 2 nights and were very impressed. The apartments are very large and quiet. Furnishings are not particularly modern but are comfortable. The location is great - right above Salamanca markets and a very short walk to the other main tourist sites in Hobart. Service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - storing our groceries that were...

Don't let reception organise your room or you might end up with room 309 like us. It's next to the carpark and door exit. The wall in the courtyard is low so people can look over. The most used crockery and glasses are on the bottom shelf hidden from view. It could be such an easy fix. Plus the rubbish...

Salamanca Terraces is actually an annex to the more grandiose Lenna Hotel which is across the road and up a steep hill. This I discovered after I checked in at Reception in the main hotel quite late at night as my flight from Melbourne had been significantly delayed. Despite it being November the night was cold and windy - not...

We booked one night's accommodation for 9 November 2015 in a one bedroom apartment. On arrival we were told we'd been upgraded to a Penthouse Suite. How lucky were we. We've stayed here any number of times and this was our first upgrade so it's much appreciated. The suite is spacious, air-conditioned in both main area and bedroom. Very clean...

Great value and good location; free parking was a plus as well. The main problem was that the apartment was located on a hill and a lot of effort is required to climb the steep slope from Salamanca Market and the key shopping area. My elderly parents struggled to climb the slopes.

Hi Danny_595, Thanks for staying with us and for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed our wonderful location. Sorry to hear you had trouble negotiating the slope, unfortunately Hobart and even Tasmania itself is quite a hilly region so you don't go far without finding a hill around this area!
