We really appreciated a hotel that was close to the CBD. We could walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We had asked for an apartment which offered some kitchen facilities. We ended up with two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a washing machine and a dryer. After three weeks in Tasmania it was a bonus. The hotel...

Serious moulds in both bathrooms, specially the shower screen floors and inside the shower screens edges. More mould on the bath screens and the bedroom windows. In need of serious clean with heavy duty mould cleaner.

Great value for money. Well located to the venues we required during our stay. Parking was easy. Service and advice from staff was excellent. Will be staying again when we next visit Melbourne for whatever reason.

Always friendly staff and good room size. There are good facilities in the room and the heating/cooling is very good. The downstairs bar has good red wines available. The only downside is the room service menu is limited and the breakfast descriptions don't actually match what you are served.

On our recent trip to Melbourne, we stayed at the Mantra on Park, lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Nice cosy bar downstairs. Beautiful room. The room had everything we needed. Easy walk to Bourke St, Vic Markets and Lygon street.

As a single person staying at this hotel, I found the room to be quite spacious compared to hotels in which I have stayed in Germany, France, and Italy. Prime location in Melbournes CBD (central business district) and within easy walking distance to two of the more renowned dining areas of this city: Lygon and Brunswick streets. The Melbourne Cricket...

My first stay here. Very central to the areas in Melbourne I needed. Easy to park. Checkin was great. We had a 2 bedroom which was very comfortable. Reasonably priced. The walk through the gardens near the Exhibition building us lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Great value and sufficient boxes ticked for a home away from home for a few days while in town for MIFGS event from my room balcony. Very convenient location for access to public transport and eateries.

This hotel offers the 4 X singles - one of the few which suits our needs. Plenty of room for chilling at the end of a hard days shopping. Good location. Friendly staff this time as this has not always Ben the case.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
