The front desk service was exceptional, however the bathrooms were severely aged and in great need of renovation. The hotel elevators and hallway carpets needed to be cleaned. The breakfast buffet was marginal. Until there are improvements made, I would not recommend this hotel.

Wasn't happy I had to wait 30 minutes over my check in time while everyone else got in there room on time, I think that's wrong we pay the money to experience no delays just like everyone else but there was a delay

This is a good family hotel offering good apartment rooms. The room-parking-breakfast combo is very good value for money. We had a two bedroom with no view and it was fine, I imagine the rooms with a view are slightly better. The bedrooms aren't huge and the washing machine and dryer are ancient but it was fine for us. The...

If you are looking for couple days staying in melbourne with family, it is a good choice where close to CBD with good price. The only concern is to find parking during the day in designated car park. Overall, I will recommend to my friends.

The room is a little bit old , the sofa is not really clean , the air cond doesn't have heater function that makes the room is quite cold not comfortable! However, the delicate shampoo & body lotion in bathroom make a little smile

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mantra on the Park. The reception personnel wete very professional and always helpful. Nothing was a problem. Our 2 bedroom apartment was beautiful. The free city tram is at the corner of hotel which was so convenient.

doors don't close, air-conditioning is running all the time and being offered a portable heater is stupid. We have all left with a cold, blocked noses and headaches. The balconies have locks but no keys so young children could open them without the parents knowing

Very dirty and outdated, looked nothing like the photos on their website. We got a full refund as we left straight away. Very run down hotel. We booked a family room - no tv in the main bedroom and their was a fold out couch in the longe for my 3rd child to sleep in so once children were asleep...

wifi available for non mantra members sould be increased to at least 2GB/day per guests and not just 5GB for 3 guests for 5 days. More varieties of cookery should be added and staff should know how to rinse dishes before putting into the dishwasher. Welcome drinks should be offered to guests too. But all-in-all Service was good and the...

As 2 couples we booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, which worked out to be great value. The rooms seem to have been updated recently with contemporary furnishings. The queensize bed was most comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. We will certainly book Mantra on the Park next time we come to Melbourne.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
