Came here with my sister and my mate for a bender/concert in Melbourne. In the middle of the city, easy to find when hammered and most of the cabbies know where it is. The staff are really nice and it is reasonably priced. Lastly if you take the airport bus from Tullamarine they give you a free transfer from southern...

Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Although restaurant was closed in the hotel there were plenty of little cafes and eateries in the laneway to choose from. a taxi rank and tram stop were very handily placed no more than 50 metres away. Room had good amenities and a very comfortable bed. Only bad thing was I don't like public...

Have just spent 4 nights at Causeway 353 and would have no problem recommending it. We caught the skybus from the airport to Southern Cross Station (Spencer Street) and chose to walk to the hotel which took about 15-20 minutes. Check in is 2pm however we were allowed straight to our room when we arrived at midday. Bourke St mall...

Went for a weekend getaway and were surprised the wonderful room and amenities. Although a smaller room, it didn't feel that way with a luxurious king bed and big bath! Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff who even wished us well in the morning and evening on our adventures! Location was absolutely brilliant and definitely would go back!

Better than your average motor inn, this place has very little going for it, however if all you need is a bed to collapse into every night, this will do it. The location is almost perfect, pretty much right in the middle of town, very convenient. However one thing that really disappointed me were the pillows, they were very lumpy...

We were here to enjoy Melbourne over a 5 day period and required a twin room in a central location. If you are after great views, no city noise, 5 star dining, you may need to find a hotel with a 27th floor room and a large account. So what did we end up with? A great location, close to...

Stayed here on my first trip to Melbourne. Found the location amazing and convenient for everything I want. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during my stay and I did not find it worth walking a few streets. Would have preferred to have booked without breakfast for this reason, but everything else was great.

Excellent hotel, close to everything in the CBD, which was great since my girlfriend decided she wanted to go shopping. Staff were extremely friendly, king room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Being right in the heart of the CBD meant that there was always something to do, plenty of bars and restaurants as well. Will be back again!

I've stayed in this hotel on two seperate occasions and both times were faultless. I stayed with my husband first in a king spa room and it was beautiful extremely clean and comfortable. The next time I stayed in a standard twin with my sister and again everything was great. Perfect location close to everything you need. Check in is...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
