Located near Vic Market and Fitzroy Gardens the building has all the latest Tech. Free WiFi, dab radio, reverse cycle air conditioning. Tree lined streets are nice in the summer. Rooms are clean and tidy. Studio apartment is about 28m2 but has kitchenette with microwave, ceramic cook top and dish washer. Also has a front loading washer and dryer. Tight...

We stayed at the city tempo apartment for four nights and they are perfect located. The staff members are friendly and very helpful. You have a small kitchen and a laundery in your apartment. We had a room with balcony

Great location, great facilities, great value, great service. I will stay here again. Whilst the room is quite snug, it is very well appointed and all the appliances are new and high quality. The aircon is not too noisy and you can get some fresh air from that small balcony. There is a nice park 100m away and this is...

This is an apartment rental, so you have the benefit of washing machine/tumble drier, dishwasher and microwave as an added bonus. It is secure and has free wifi. 2 minute walk to Victoria Market and Victoria Market tram stop, direct to Flinders St station and in the free zone. One block away from the free circle line tram no.35 takes...

This apartment was well located and we were able to walk or tram everywhere we needed. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with AC and a nice bathroom. We had a great view of Melbourne and a balcony as well. I think the serviced apartments must have issues with some residents as I was particularly unhappy with having to...

I found this easy to book on line and easy to find. Located well in north of city but close to all transport and attractions. Reception was very efficient and clean. Rooms easily accessed by three lifts and over 27 odd floors. The room I rented was a queen suite which was spacious, clean and practical to my stay. Room contained...

I always stay at City Tempo due to the convenient, quiet and easy location. It's just out of the city center but close enough to walk to shopping and lots of restaurant options nearby. The rooms are comfortable and clean with everything you need for self catering. Small kitchen, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Maybe they could add a pair...

This was well below our expectations. The common areas are dirty and run down. The initial shock was entering the building and finding an overly used and dingy/dirty area carpet in the entrance lobby, followed by peeling wall paper and dirt streaks in the elevator lobby, as well as the dirtiest elevator thresholds of any hotel I have visited. Our...

Was sure to stay here during my trip to Melbourne. Stayed for 1 night and again loved my stay. Loved the huge room, especially the balcony. Hugely central and staff very helpful in providing advise on how to visit places etc. Was sad I couldn't enjoy the room for longer!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
