A very happy experience at Vibe Hotel Melbourne. The hotel is very centrally located in easy walking distance of most experiences Melbourne has to offer in the CBD. Trams are close by as is Flinders Street Station and Southern Cross station for easy access to convenient transport. The hotel is clean and smells lovely on arrival into the building, very welcoming. I was happy with my room, clean and tidy with a comfy bed and excellent entertainment options on TV. Dining was superb at St Marks - the foold was excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Stayed at Vibe Hotel on Christmas Eve, to do some last minute shopping, and the vibe was great. Jasmine at Reception is a perfect angel - nothing was too difficult for her to manage. We were upgraded to a King Superior room on the 18th floor, and the view was amazing - straight up and down the Yarra to the illuminated MCG, fireworks at the Bowl, and gas fires at the Casino. Shopping was only one block away, and we easily exited the local car park (pay for) on Christmas Day. We could not eat or drink there as the restaurant is still closed for COVID reasons, but our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had superior fittings. Neither is huge, but the view makes it seem bigger. Will stay again. Good price for the heart of Melbourne, and very little train, tram or traffic noise could be heard.

Location is good but the room is very noisy if rooms are facing the train tracks and on the lower floors. My stay included breakfast. The breakfast is not a buffet type so the service and time to serve food and drinks are very slow. And the most shocking thing is the cleaners left the toilet brush on the bathroom sink. I stayed for 3 nights and I don’t think they changed my bed sheets at all.

Where do I start? Upon check in (on a Thursday) you have to ring a doorbell. Both my friend and I run the doorbell three times before someone at the desk noticed. Our dates and price were incorrect and was argued with. We told the concierge that we will be checking out at 4:30am Monday morning. 4:00am Friday morning, 4 hours after checking in, we received four knocks on the door waking us up for our flight. When told this was incorrect the concierge laughed, did not apologise, and turned around. We then had a fire alarm, in which no one knocked on our door and did not inform us about it until another guest did. We did not have a TV remote, a working TV or phone, and informed the concierge, in which they said “it was too little too late” because we were checking out in a day and a bit and they could attend to our issues. We were advised not to check out early due to 24 hour check out. We were waiting at an unmanned desk for 10 minutes, the check-out process was another 5, and the concierge advised he could not book us a taxi which resulted in us being late to the airport. Two other groups of guests advised that they would not be staying at this hotel due to the terrible concierge services.
The best of the worst was when housekeeping refused to leave our room, despite not requesting housekeeping. It seems as though advising them that you want them to leave so you can shower is not enough. After we told them to leave, they continued to move our personal belongings around, half make our beds, and toss towels on the bed.
I booked through a third-party website. When I told them about the service, or lack there on, they contacted the hotel who told them they did not have any recollection of any of this. Apparently, when you tell people there is a problem three times, they seem to ignore or forget. Should I add that this trip was a birthday surprise?
I would be highly concerned should you choose this hotel. I would not be recommending anyone stay here.

The room we stayed in was spectacular condition, The set up also made flowed through the hotel room and made sense. The pillows were so comfortable, and really love the design of the sinks. Location is perfect!

Given the location, how new the facilities were and the deal we received when booking, we found Vibe Melbourne to be of good value, though with some shortcoming.
The check-in process while polite was not efficient. The system had missed details in our deal, which we had to remind them of by showing our booking email. We were also not explained the facilities.
Our room, which was supposed to be booked as a Yarra View room only had a side view of the actual river. It instead directly face the rooftop deck of the building across the road. Furnishings inside were adequate and of the standard expected from a recently built hotel. Given our floor, we didn't have too much issue with noise from the nightclub or trains.
We had a fire bell alarm go off around 2am, and while we understand that this is out of the hotel's control, there was nil management on the ground floor of guest. When we were given the all clear to re-enter, there was no attempt to assist guests back to their room. Instead there was one staff member at reception peering into the hotel cameras whilst the rest were coming in and out of the back rooms with little consideration given to guests queuing in the cold to get back into the hotel. Some guests struggled with the lift buttons, which made for an even lengthier return to our floors.
The only redeeming qualities was the included a la carte breakfast, which was really good. Their burger was one of the best I've had. We also quite enjoyed their rooftop bar, which while was just a converted balcony that led from converted suite provided a nice intimate space with views over Melbourne.
We've stayed in Vibe hotels in the past and normally service is exceptional. Unfortunately this time it's been a let down.

This was our first stay in Melbourne since the start of the COVID pandemic. It was reassuring to stay in a clean, COVID safe environment staffed by friendly and welcoming professionals. Our room was comfortable, clean and had a lovely bed. The blackout curtains kept out the early morning easterly sun . The breakfasts provided in the downstairs cafe were also of a high standard. The rooms will be improved when extra soundproofing is fitted as currently the Flinders st train line can be disturbing.

I was really excited about this place but everything about the hotel seems cheap. The beds were unstable and rolling around on wheels, water temperature was consistently cold and windows were narrow with no view. My initial booking and preference for two single beds was not taken into consideration with the receptionist pushing for a single king bed. The vents also kept making a strange creaking/knocking noise all through the night, disturbing our sleep.
However, in terms of positives, the mattresses were very comfortable, cleaning service was prompt and location was spectacular.

Stayed 2 nights after having a flight cancellation and ended up having to travel the day before. Offered breakfast on only one of the days even though they matched the price we had paid for the one night and the biggest disappointment was that they totally overlooked servicing the room - after a big day out you don't want to come back to a room that hasn't been serviced....that's why you stay in a serviced hotel for.

I walked into my room and was hit with a strong smell I cannot work out. Then my balcony wouldn't open the lady was going to try and remove the lock at 9:30pm as I wanted a balcony, and the solution was to find a screwdriver and remove a lock. She was nice however the solution is inappropriate at the time of night. I advised not worry about the lock to have a look at it the next day for me as it was 9pm. I go to have a shower and there is hair and eyelash extensions in the shower the bathroom had not been cleaned. This is the first time in my life I requested a room change with a reason which should be horrifying to staff. I got "I don't know if we can because we may not have the same type of room available". No apology. no horror. no reaction. FYI if there is a hygiene issue with your rooms it becomes irrelevant if you have the same available, if necessary, you upgrade the room. After that I moved to a room that was fine and the same as the one I had before. The next night I got told I could not order room service at 7:35pm....I had to have dinner ordered no later than 7:30pm which is unheard of to me. Also, pre-paid for parking (mind you more than I pay at the pullman for parking) I arrived there is no park available go upstairs and find out staff park in the carpark I had to wait for the staff member to get her keys and move her vehicle. Luckily another guest left while I was waiting. Not the staff members fault but an issue with the parking system with such limited parks you should not book all parks out. Prices comparable to the Hilton do yourself a favour and stay at the Hilton.

Hello M7617GRjacquib, Thanks for sharing your experience with the community. It seems that your experience was not pleasant at all. However, after reading thoroughly were reading through your feedback. However, there are several aspects from it that do not match with Vibe Hotel Melbourne offers: -Car park is not available for pre-payments. Additionally, it is outsourced. -Balcony room available for public is just one. Then there is no feasible possibility to move you to the same room type. -Balcony door can be latched/unlatched by guest and there would not be an offer to remove the lock from our balcony doors. -Our room service operates daily from midday to 9:30 pm. So it seems to be strange that it was denied at the time mentioned (7:35pm) We would love to have a chat with you to find out if these inconsistencies with the service delivered are definitely for Vibe Hotel Melbourne or potentially related with another hotel. Ask for a room which overlooks the Yarra River and MCG. The view from this room will give you a great viewing of the fireworks. You can also ask Vibe Hotel reception what they recommend.
The room price will be expensive - possibly $500.00 per night.

Great view from room 723. To the left was a view up the side of Flinders St Station. The view to the right was across to Southbank and the MCG. See photos from review December 2022.
When I booked the Yarra King room there was only a seperate shower, no bathtub. I believe their Yarra Riverview Balcony Suite, Family Suite, Fletcher Suite and Flinders Terrace Suite all have a shower and bath included in the room.
There’s a Parkin facility next door ( or a couple of doors down). I can’t remember how much, but the will validate your ticket.
