The Crossley is great value and It's in the heart of Melbourne and an easy walk to, great restaurants, and its comfortable and affordable. The rooms had just been refurb and the deco was well presented and was very clean. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful on check out and check in.

Very close to the theatre and lots of restaurants close by. The hotel is well located and the staff were helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend the Crossley Hotel, especially if you are going to the theatre.

The Crossley was clean, modern, bright, friendly and the location was great as we had a show to see at Her Majesties Theatre. We arrived early and our room was ready, it was great to check in early so we could drop off our bags and have a look around. We needed 3 single beds and got 1 king and...

My friend stays at a much more expensive hotel one minute away. I spent 50% of his costs and I had a comfortable bed, a decent room and a great location. The only downside is the garbage collection but I came prepared with earplugs. Staff were professional and friendly.

The Crossley is great value for central Melbourne. It's in the heart of Chinatown and an easy walk to Parliament House, great restaurants, theatres and mall-type shopping. It's comfortable and affordable if your business is on a tight budget. W

If you want clean, bright, modern, comfortable accommodation at reasonable rates in the heart of the CBD then the Crossley won't disappoint, but it's location that makes it come up aces. In Little Bourke Street you're at the top end of Chinatown with its endless string of restaurants. The Chinese History Museum (worth a visit) is across the street and...

Clean and comfy motel close to the centre of Melbourne and trams. Don't get back to your room to early as even if room has been cleaned cleaning staff will just walk in to drop things off, no knocking or anything. Do love the fact that we could walk to most things from here

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
