This is possibly one of the nicest conveniently located Melbourne venues. Rooms were adequate, prices were right, staff friendly and buffet breakfast great. If you want to stay in the heart of Melbourne then this should be your choice.

We stayed for 3 nights during March 2017 at the end of our 4 week stay in Australia. Not thr best locations when driving to as down a narrow street in Chinatown but that was the only negative. Staff very helpful, nice and clean with good facilities, which was nice after staying at motels where it was difficult to get...

Rooms have everything you need, they are small but comfortable. New pillows perhaps would be more comfortable. We had buffet breakfast and was nice fresh and a good selection and variety, a suggestion to offer a dairy free milk option. Overall great customer service, clean rooms, great location and will stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard room with queen bed. The bed was clean and comfy, the bathroom a bit on the small side but was adequate. We took advantage of the 'go green special' and ate at the Louden for breakfast giving us a $10 discount. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to theatres,...

In an excellent position close to the heart of the city and easily accessed by public transport. The airport transfer is easy via Skybus. (Don't go for Starbus). The restaurant is a bit atmospherically cold but the vegetable curry was delicious. They even give you a $10 a day discount if you don't have your room cleaned. And who needs...

Room a good size and bathroom a good size....includes a tub. Really liked the toiletries. Bed so hard we both ended up with sore backs. Sofa so soft, you were almost on the floor. Free tram outside the door amazing. Lots of places to eat. Concierge was extremely helpful every day. Wi-fi worked great.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
