Detailed Reviews

Fabulous stay at the Pullman Albert Park over the very busy weekend preceding Melbourne Cup.
A great welcome from the team and as an Accor Plus Platinum member we were upgraded to a beautiful suite on the top floor - thanks.
Breakfast both mornings in Windows was great with a good range of options available as well as Barista coffee.
This is a fabulous hotel if you don’t want to be in the City. Parking was reasonably priced and plentiful under the building.
Great surrounds - we walked all around Albert Park and to St Kilda one day. It is a very easy tram ride into the city.
Overall we liked this hotel a lot and looking forward to returning in just over a week for another 2 night stay this time flying in and cruising out and the hotel is in close proximity to the Station Pier Cruise Terminal.

I was there for 5 days for a business and leisure conference, the location of the hotel is just fabulous, it's right across Albert park and the lake, where I went 2 times for a stroll n jog in the morning.
St. Kilda beach is about 2 kms through some nice neighborhoods where you get to see the local housing and the culture.
Nice comfortable beds and well maintained property.
I would like to mention our morning buffet manager or host Jessica who was always smiling and welcoming us, she is someone who loves her job and always was very warm n welcoming towards all the guests, always ready to help and give you some small tips about the city and the culture. I really admired her spirit and enthusiasm at her job, something I learnt from her.
Great buffet breakfast the menu being the same everyday but lots of variety to offer.
The tram service is just 400 meters behind the hotel and there is a tram that goes straight to the city centre at AUD 5 max.
They have an indoor all season swimming pool and a great gym.
2 nice bars serving good cocktails and house spirits.
I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone one for its good location.
Only once I faced the problem with room cleaning that they did not clean up the toilet of my room but otherwise the stay was a great one.
Very helpful staff at the front desk and at the buffet breakfast area.

We had a comfortable stay at the Pullman. The room was spacious, the queens beds were comfortable. I really like the memory foam pillows provided. I wish we were given a room with bath tub as the shower we had leaks out all over the bathroom floor.
There is a capsule coffee machine in the room but housekeeping never refilled the capsules in our room even though we stayed 5 nights.
Also, the housekeeping was a bit on and off. Some days we don’t get any hand towels, some we didn’t get bath mat, some we had 2 towels or 3 towels.
The buffet breakfast choices were limited but ok, it gets quite busy. There are hot food - eggs, sausage, bacon and mushrooms.

This was my 4th stay at the Pullman hotel and probably the worst.
I travel very often to Melbourne for work and I was surpised by the drop that the hotel had in terms of service.
More specifically.
1) room wasn't as clean as it should;
2) no bottles of water in the room; when I returned in the hotel after a long working day (was late night) and I called the concierge to ask for a couple of bottles of water, they responded that the only way to get some water was the vending machine! not really the service that you expect from a 5-star hotel
3) at the moment of the booking, I've expressely asked for an earlier check-in but when I reached the hotel in the morning, they told me that this wasn't feasible so I had to shower at the gym facilities.
4) wifi in the room was terrible, I had to connect to my mobile device hotspot.
Location is nice and part of the staff helpful but I believe they need to act quickly in order to improve the service level.

I booked this hotel 6 months ago for my Birthday as a treat. I am also an Accor Plus Platinum member.
Check in was slow however staff were pleasant. No overview of the hotel was given or available in the room and no upgrade was provided for my Platinum status.
The room was small and dark but appeared to have been recently repainted. When the curtains were opened the carpet was badly stained and worn, there were no glasses provided but were delivered very quickly when requested.
Pullman hotels are described as Premium 4.5 star however there is no hint of this in the room. I have stayed in Ibis hotels with nicer more modern rooms in the last month. Our room had a very noisy air con unit that maintenance was unable to fully fix and also was not cooling correctly, we hardly had any sleep the first night and the second night the large picture above the bed fell down in the middle of the night. I did request a room change however I was told they were fully booked.
The restaurant is also closed like most Accor hotels still, however they were providing light meals in the bar.
This hotel is clearly being run down and is no more than a 3 star hotel with very basic rooms with basic amenities, car parking is single entry only so if you exit and return you have to repay the full amount. There is nothing to recommend at this hotel which is a real shame. I stayed at the Mercure section of the hotel 4 years ago and had a very nice stay, the whole property has been let go since then.
I did manage to have an informative discussion with the duty manager who confirmed all my feelings about this hotel, clearly the staff are frustrated as well.

This is not 4 stars
It would appear Pullman have reset their standard based on recent covid forced-isolation stays with regards to room cleanliness and service, but have maintained their price.
Just a short summary:
Room had a pungent smell of cooked noodles
Didn’t repack the tea or coffee
Toiletries lacking
Lacking blankets
Told we needed to book for a clean or they’ll only clean your room every 3 days!!
So IF you get a towel, hold onto it for those 3 days. They don’t like to replace them

We stayed at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park for 5 nights for a conference. Our room wasn't ready as the previous occupants had not yet vacated. It was disappointing that as Gold Accor members we had a view of a neighboring building, although we selected a deluxe room, particularly as we had colleagues who were not Accor members who were upgraded to higher floors with lake views. We had to request water and welcome gift. We were very close to the lifts, and it was very noisy. The photos on the website did not match the room we had booked. We had booked a deluxe suite, but there were no armchairs, my partner had broken their foot, we asked if we could please have at least one armchair and footstool but were advised they were all being used. Which they were in the cheaper rooms of our friends! It was meant to have a multimedia connectivity panel, however, noone had any idea what it was. there was no power outlet near the TV, eventually we found someone who understood what an extension cord was and they were able to give us one so we could connect our own multimedia device up. The bar closed quite early, and when we asked the nearest tram stop we were directed to walk four blocks down the road, which was bizarre and annoying as my partner was in a moonboot! We ignored those instructions and found one much closer around the corner. Overall, this hotel was disappointing for a Pullman.

Stayed here for three nights, don’t really have any complaints apart from a couple of cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom. Check in was easy (Franco was great) and I was given a room on the 8th floor. My room was spacious and quiet with a few nice touches such as a selection of premium teas plus a Nespresso machine with 3 assorted Nespresso capsules.
Breakfast was excellent, a really good selection of hot and cold foods. My only gripe was I did have a couple of coffee’s that weren’t great, think the barista had burnt it as it didn’t taste very nice. Bar service was also good, not the largest selection of beer or spirits but the bartender was friendly. Would happily stay here again if I got a similar room as the one I had

It was a very disappointing stay. They were very obviously under lack of staff pressures. They made us aware of staff issues at check-in however it was far worse than they led us to believe. Our room was cleaned only once in our 7 day stay. Even after asking on day 3 and was assured it would be cleaned it was still 2 more days before it happened. We did get fresh towels delivered when we asked, the towels were not drying during the day. The eating areas were also in need of a clean. Overall we would not be returning unless we read more positive reviews.

We had the pleasure of staying at Pullman Melbourne Albert Park during a recent business conference trip. Rhett Constantine, the Chief Concierge, and his outstanding team truly made our stay something special. Our 3-night work trip with the LUXit team, from 9 July to 12 July, was an absolute delight.
The rooms struck a perfect balance between modern style and comfort, and every little detail had been carefully considered, including a thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us in our room, underlining their hospitality.
They accommodated us with an early check-in so we could start working, which was very helpful. As frequent travellers, we recommend Pullman Melbourne Albert Park to anyone, especially business travellers. Their inviting rooms, attentive service, and exceptional value for money make them a standout choice.

Russells_Holidays asked a question May 2018
South Hedland, Australia132 contributions49 helpful votesWe are thinking about booking an executive room. What is the executive lounge like and what is on offer there?
We stayed on the executive floor with access to the lounge - it's a bit small but has drinks and canapes between 5-8pm.
It's nice, but I wouldn't pay a lot more for it.
There is an iron and ironing board in each room; and a gym onsite. I don’t think they have a laundry as they offer laundry service at an extra fee.
