Our 2 night hoilday for a concert at Rod Lava arena was made relaxing by stating close at BreakFree on Collins. The staff were nice and easy to find when needed. Room was clean and tidy and had alot of room for the infant to roam.

Very limited hot water for showers. Maintenance tried to fix it and we managed to have 1 hot shower each for one night but then it returned to being Luke warm or cold. Reception was not overly helpful the 2nd time we asked for it to be looked at.

Love the location, tram at the door, trains a block away, supermarkets close by, usually have a 2 bedroom unit, rooms are comfortable and well equiped some fitting could be cleaner- curtains and rug , wooden floor in kitchen very scuffed, but ok, great to have a kitchen and washer/ dryer. Shower is over bath so you need to step...

Staff were all very helpful, from pre-room requests to the parking and reception. Cleanliness was a little lacking. Floors needed a good scrub - our socks turned black underneath! 2 bedroom apartment had everything we needed but within the apartment noise and light carried.

We checked in late and had power tripped for more than 5 times on the first night. Called the reception and she told us to sleep over with no power since there's no mechanics. We were very upset with such a suggestion. We paid for the room facilities yet we can't use them especially the heater when it was cold....

Looking to be located centrally for walking and central tram, this apartment was well equipped, clean and well equipped. Many excellent restaurants, galleries, theatres and tourist interest near by. We found it very quiet, but we were on a higher level floor and possible had quieter neighbours than some of the guests on previous reviews.

The hotel is perfectly located in Coĺlins St. The design and amenities are a little lacking in the rooms for example no full length mirror, power points and light switches in hard to reach places. Kitchen could do with more utensils but overall the hotel is great value for money.

Central location, rooms spacious with kitchenette, bedroom refurbished, good size bathroom. Stayed in 1 Bedroom superior room. Some noise from the trams outside the hotel and also evening noise from street music, (not good if you are a light sleeper) but for me, convenience of location made up for this. Tram stop right at the door. Friendly team at reception....

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
