Not bad for the price, room was nice, very clean, a bit noisy though - could hear a lot of street noise even from the 17th floor. Breakfast wasn't great but kind of typical for a buffet - bacon is never cooked properly and the eggs were like rubber........

The new refurbished rooms were great, large spacious bathroom, I was on level 10 and this is a huge improvement since my last stay. Huge bed was comfy and the TV on the wall had great sound. Restaurant was lovely - huge side dishes.

I've stayed at the hotel several times. The service is consistently good and the staff remain calm and pleasant at the busiest of times. The restaurant meals are very good quality and are served efficiently.

We booked as the hotel had a pool and we were able to check in early after our flight from England. Check in was slow. The rooms were dated and didn't reflect the online photos. We didn't get a lot of sleep, we had an adjoining room which was very noisy. Next doors guests may as well have been in our...

Overall a very good establishment with convenient location and reasonable cost with friendly and efficient staff. Cleanliness of rooms was excellent and the buffet breakfast more than met our expectations.

Booked this hotel as I had an appointment in Melbourne and needed somewhere not to far away for one night. My husband was meant to be coming with me but something came up and he couldn't - did not advise the hotel of this so the booking was still in both our names. When I got to room it had...

A more than adequate hotel in a fantastic location. Will definitely stay here again when in Melbourne. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast and meal, especially the dessert, at the restaurant were both great. Complementary daily newspaper was a bonus too. Thank you.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
