Stayed many times and now that building next door is done, more quiet. Good location. Use vic market for breakfast. Rooms great and clean and modern enough, food ok. Price normally good. It helps to be an Accor member. Gives free wifi which has an ok speed.

On second days of our visited to Melbourne, we should move from City tempo to this hotel. The location is good because so close with Queen Victoria Market and many stores around, but the room is so average and the amenities is so average.

We have stayed here a few times before. It is so convenient to the markets and to transport. This time we skipped the breakfast. $18 a head seemed too much for it. We've had the buffet breakfast in the past and it was not the best. Better breakfasts can be had at the nearby markets. But the room was great,...

We'r a family of two adults and a baby who stayed in a pretty big double room, 34 sq m (bedroom and lounge) on the 9th floor. The room was for maximum 3 adults having one person staying on the sofa bed and two using the king size bed. The room had a microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer and kettle which...

Stayed there for a couple of nights in October. Hotel was clean and staff were good. There wasn't much choice for breakfast but location of hotel was excellent. The dinner menu looked good but I did not try it. Walking distance to CBD. Would stay there again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
