What a lovely hotel! The location suited us very much, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant/bar down stairs was great and the prices reasonable. We will certainly be back! Thank you!

I have stayed at the Mercure Treasury Gardens before but each time we stay the Staff excel with excellent service from the cleaning staff, meal staff and Reception staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They are so helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast is served in the Dining Room. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very good proximity to...

I regularly stay at Mercure on Spring street. Easy no frills hotel. Clean, bar in lobby, and reception is open until late. Would recommend for business travelers or 1 or 2 nights max. Rooms are rather small. Close to the top end of Collins street and Parliament house.

My fiancé and I stayed here for a long weekend in April. The lovely guy at the check in was really lovely; not only storing our luggage as we were advised we could, but also putting our room on priority because we had flown in very early in the morning. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Room is very...

We stayed for my fiancés birthday. Our check in was seamless and we got a free 2pm check out upon approaching staff the day before. We could easily walk to the shopping district, the casino, multiple breakfast locations, sporting venues and public transport. Our room was clean and had a wonderful park view. We had a wonderful breakfast and dinner...

The worst internet connection I've ever seen in a hotel. After I complained (several times), they increased from 1.5 mbps to 3 mbps, what a joke! If you're traveling on business needs internet to work, look elsewhere.

Our company just had their Sales conference at the Mercure Treasury Gardens over 3 days. Rooms were lovely, clean & fresh. The food was pretty good for each of the meals we had there. Overall a nice city hotel. I wasn't paying so I'm not sure of the cost of this hotel

we usually live about 60km from the city, so we thought to stay in a hotel after a nice dinner gathering out in the city, especially with 2 kids, and 4 seniors! it was a good easy spot to get to and we even got an early check in so we could use the place as a resting place during...

The staff here are magnificent. Friendly, obliging and courteous. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The limited number of rooms means it never feels overly busy and there always seems to be a table in the restaurant or stool at the bar. Meals are unpretentious and good value. Aim for happy hour for cheap drinks.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
