As always, the Mercure Treasury Gardens Hotel delivered what it says it does. This is not an upmarket hotel nor do they pretend it is. To me its location, location, location when travekking & this location cannot be faulted in my opinion. In summary, the staff are sensational, the rooms are consistently better than just satisfactory, buffet breakfast is standard...

Awesome location walking distance to the best of Melbourne's sporting precinct. Stayed here for consecutive weekends and it was a great spot. But the down sides...parking is always a drama and this is expensive - its a melbourne thing i know. Second, the bar shuts stupid early - and you are not allowed to congregate in the bar area after...

We stayed at the Mercure Treasury for a long weekend and the location was perfect for wandering the streets and lanes of Melbourne and to walk to AAMI Stadium where we were attending a football game. The room was a standard city hotel room and was clean, neat and tidy. We paid a little extra to have the balcony which...

Visited here for a business event and found the staff were so lovely, very helpful and gave me a room with a view (went out of their way). It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also nice, only issue was they didn't open until 6.30am and I'm an early riser. Otherwise a great place to stay.

I stayed at the Mercure Treasury Gardens in January this year and loved it. I had a lovely big room and found that the location was great and not too far to walk to shops and other parts of Melbourne. So when i came back tonight for another two nights i was really looking forward to my stay. However the...

This hotel at the edge of the Melbourne CBD is a great place to stay. Our room was comfortable, although the bathroom was rather small and compact. The staff were friendly and efficient - check in and out was a breeze. The location is lovely, and it was pleasant to breakfast over looking the Treasury Gardens. Highly recommend this hotel.

What a lovely hotel! The location suited us very much, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant/bar down stairs was great and the prices reasonable. We will certainly be back! Thank you!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
